The ground shook as Mother Earth awakened, everyone was either frozen or fell.

"IT'S TOO LATE DEMIGODS" the king of the giants boomed.

Suddenly, the mud from the ground took the form of a woman. She held Annabeth in vines, and the seven's feet began sinking into the ground. We all were unable to move, struggling in Gaea's territory.

"Give her back!" Percy screamed.

Percy didn't care about the world anymore, Annabeth was his world.

Gaea chuckled in a still low voice.

"And why should I, Percy Jackson?" She teased.

Percy panicked. He looked back at the seven struggling to keep from falling as their feet sunk into the ground like quicksand.

An oath to keep with the final breath.

He knew what to do.

"I make an oath by the River Synx that if you let Annabeth go, I will not attack or hurt you"

"PERCY, DON'T!" Hazel shouted.

Gaea took a moment to think, and she smirked.

"Very well. I swear by the River Synx."

"STOP PERCY!" Frank yelled.

"I swear by the River Synx," Percy said, biting back his lip.

"NO!" Annabeth screamed.

Lighting boomed, sealing the oath.

Just then as the vines around Annabeth were released, Percy lunged at Gaea and cut off her dirt head with Riptile. He used the moisture of the air and turned it into hot boiling water as his anger reached the top. He poured it on Gaea as her screams of agony echoed. Percy cackled. The water turned dark red, gold, and black all mixed. Annabeth didn't know how he could control a whole hurricane of water here in Gaiaʻs domain. Percy's eyes glowed red, unlike the sea-green eyes Annabeth remembered. Until Gaea completely vaporized. All the demigods and titans starred in dread. The demigods didn't want to end Gaea like this, even if it was their enemy. Percy grinned creepily, his eyes full of blood lust. He then turned to us. He had a creepy grin, on his chest was a deep bloody cut. Everyone stood in shock as they stopped sinking, Jason was terrified, his murderous aura and glare was so terrifying that he felt it would kill him if Jason moved.

"Percy, You're bleeding.." Jason said grumly

Percy just smiled softly.

"I know"

Annabeth stepped closer to Percy. Suddenly, shadows appeared from above.

"Guys! It's the great gurgle gods!" Leo yelled from above.

All the Olympians landed with a thunk on the soft ground, ready in battle mode. Zeus looked around, confused.

"Where's the-"

All the Titans retreated as Percy destroyed Gaia. Then he realized Percy, with wide eyes.

"You broke the oath."

"He's bleeding, help him!" Jason said.

"It's too late, I broke it," Percy replied calmly.

Just then a black hole appeared beneath them, along with Annabeth who leaped to hold his hand. Percy did not attempt to save himself, he had a calm solemn face, but his eyes were dull and pained. Annabeth just caught him dangling. Quickly, the seven joined, trying to pull Annabeth up, Percy winced.

"Oh my gods wait," Annabeth said.

The tugging stopped.

"Annabeth, you have to let me go"

"NO!" She shrieked.

"Please."

His wound was bleeding even more, the tugging on his arm was making it worse. No, there had to be a way Annabeth thought.

"Zeus, Poseidon. Mom, Help!"

"There's nothing I can do," Poseidon said coldly.

He had tears in his eyes.

An oath to keep with the final breath.

How could she be so dumb? She looked back at Percy, in his sea-green eyes that twinkled. Everyone let go of Annabeth and looked at Percy with panic in their eyes, peeking over the edge. The weight was too much for Annabeth, the pull of Tartarus stretched her arm.

"I love you Wise Girl, and I thank the seven, for the memories. I'm sorry for Calypso, Bianca, Bekendorf, Mom, and Luke. Thank you guys for accepting me.."

Percy couldn't bear to envision his heartbroken mother.

He smiled brightly, even with the darkness below, it was warm and loving. With that, he let go of Annabeth's hand.

"I'm so sorry, Mom"

He said as tears flowed down and his heart stopped with the final shallow breath.
