Look at me cracking these out-

Bermuda was moving before she was even awake.

By the time she had opened her eyes, she and Cloudy were partially down the aisle between the cells. Two Glass were dragging them along, and the big RainWing from before was leading them. Chains encircled both of the prisoners, clinking as they were dragged along.

“Where are we going?” Bermuda demanded as soon as she was awake enough.

The RainWing didn’t answer them.

“I said, where are we going?” Bermuda snapped, and at the same time Cloudy said, “She asked you a question.”

The RainWing snorted, and grinned a nasty grin at them. “Audience with the Queen. Now shut up, because I was never told what state to bring you in. Dead, for all I care.”

Bermuda gritted her teeth. She glanced at Cloudy, who stared straight ahead.

Still mad then, geez. Bermuda sighed inwardly. They were walking straight towards a wall, solid and made of sharp bricks. Bermuda furrowed her brow at the RainWing, who was calmly walking towards the wall. To Bermuda’s amazement, the bricks shook, then flipped away like dominoes to reveal an exit. Bermuda gasped.

The big RainWing turned his head, and chuckled. “Cool, right? Oh, yeah, you weren’t supposed to see that.” The Glass in front of the prisoners twitched, and then the cold talons placed themselves on the back of Bermuda’s head. She frowned at the rough stone floors as her claws dragged across it. The space around her darkened as they entered the tunnel.

Like before, the tunnel twisted and turned, disorienting Bermuda. Right, left, tight right, loose left. Eventually, it all felt the same to her. It was almost impossible to pick up any sort of pattern.

Almost.

Bermuda noticed that there were occasionall hallways leading off of the main tunnel. There were two types- ones that drifted away smoothly, the tunnel getting wider until it was wide enough to split, like the letter “Y”. Then there were other splits, abrupt branches that were perpendicular to the main tunnel, like a “T”. See, on every third “T” split, they switched sides of the tunnel. This way, instead of going left when they came to a “Y’ split, they went right. They did this the entire way to the palace.

As per usual, they exited the tunnel and the exit melted back way into the plastery walls. The big RainWing looked up and down the halls, and then walked towards the throne room. The Glass let go of the prisoners and stepped back to flank them.

“So, are we ever going to know your name?” Bermuda asked, trying to tip him off.

“There’s no point. You’ll be dead before you have time to remember it.” he said, without turning around.

“That’s cheerful. I think you should tell us anyways.” Bermuda said.

“Well, say you didn’t die. Her Majesty would probably behead me, or execute me in some other grusome way.” he said.

“Just because you told us your name?” Bermuda exclaimed. “That’s nuts! How can you stand with that?”

He glanced at the Glass, and then looked around them. Cloudy was giving him quite the incredulous look.

“Okay, you’re lucky I’m feeling good today and that these statues can’t hear. My name is,” he paused for dramatic effect as he looked around for any dragons nearby.

“DART!” Aconi’s voice roared from around the corner. Before Bermuda could even process what was happening, the RainWing snapped into position.
