Bermuda woke up walking out of a doorway, into another hallway, at the same time as her friends. She was very confused and very disoriented- hadn't she just been falling to her death? Hadn't her friends been a good ways ahead of her? Apparently they were having the same thoughts, because they all stared around and at each other with concerning looks.

This hallway was normal, with no fortelling engravings and plenty of decorations.

"Holy moons," Cloudy wheezed. "Can we stop, just for a second?"

Dart listened for a moment, and then nodded. "Just for a second. I have no idea if there's anyone around us."

"Okay," Bermuda said. She wasn't as wornout as the others, but her shoulder was bleeding.

She went up to one of the silk curtains and tore a swath off. Iodine silently walked over and braced the spear.

"Wait, wait!" Cloudy said, walking over. "Don't pull it out quite yet," They took the cloth from Bermuda's talons and wrapped it around the spearhead, right above where it was embedded in her skin. They tore another piece off, and pressed down on the wound. Bermuda gritted her teeth as Iodine pulled out the spear, and Cloudy quickly wrapped it up with the remaining silk.

"There we go." they said. "Anything too tight or uncomfortable?"

Bermuda shook her head. It was a little too tight, but she knew it had to stay in place, and that they didn't really have time to readjust.

A roar- Aconi's roar-split the air. Each of the dragons jumped, and began racing down the hallway once again.

Dart threw open the doors at the end of this hall, just as Aconi's deadly beauty burst through the opposite entrance.

He slammed them shut, and grabbed a nearby table. Bleach helped, piling more furniture against the door.

Bermuda looked around, and realized that they were in a ballroom- or the room where Dart and Aconi had married, but just from another entrance. A single RainWing janitor had been sweeping flower petals, and was now looking up at the escapees in confusion.

"Hide, hide!" Dart hissed. Bermuda grabbed gawking Iodine and dragged her under a big round table with a table cloth draped over it. She watched the running talons, duck under other tables.

With a rush of terror, Bermuda looked under the edge of the cloth at the janitor. Please go away!

To her joy, the janitor was actually running out of the ballroom, leavign his broom behind. Either he was off to go get help, the queen that was on the otherside of the ballroom, or he was very wise and left the area before he died in the crossfire.

Iodine sat weirdly rigid beside Bermuda, looking under the table cloth. She wasn't looking towards the door, but back and forth at the other table.

"What?" Bermuda asked.

"Just making sure Dart made it under a table." Iodine said.

"He's probably fine," Bermuda said.

"We don't know that. Yes, he's okay and under a table with Cloudy." she reported.

"Good, the groom is safe," Bermuda said with an eyeroll. "Why do you care?"

"Because he's one of us now." Iodine said, staring under the table cloth a little bit longer before turning to Bermuda.

"You mean the guy who is married to our nemesis, the guy who captured us, and the guy who chained us up?" Bermuda said.

"Hey, those last two are almost the same thing. Besides, he's helping us now, isn't he?" Iodine whispered.
