' HONEY . . . ' ──a one piece fanfiction created / edited 09.30.23
authors note ; ooo. i've returned!! i've been more active on my other story 'cowardly' than this so i apologize!
ooo. cracking my back as i stretch- i groan as i still had my forehead wrapped up, and i hear a guy shout out, "Battle stations everyone!" One guy says, and I blink with surprise before grabbing my sword and sheathing it. I head out onto the deck, and i could just barely see that many people were approaching- fast too. "There must be hundreds of them!" Usopp freaks, and i place a hand on my hip.
"Yeah, but who are they?" Nami questions, "there desert bandits, vermin who are always chasing us. Conflicts seem to be in the air today. Everyone in the desert seems to be on edge." Barborosa says, and i place a hand on my swords hilt, as i suppose since its people: it wouldn't be as bad compared to that giant lizard who couldve eaten me and luffy in one bite. "Hahahaha!! Now that you cant run away, we finally got you where we wanted!!" One of the bandits shouts out, "Hear me men!! Dont let a single one of these desert rats escape!!" Barborosa commands, and his men get to work. I shrug before just resting my hand on my hip since until it seems like they'll need my help, i'll let them do it.
"Ah yes, go pirates." Usopp deadpans with a sweat as he cheers in a false positivity. I deadpan at him, "the desert has pitted us against each other, now we will see who the desert will favor, at last! We will end this! Let the desert see who will be victorious!" Barborosa shouts, and i just cross my arms. "Fool! The desert will not chose you!!" The bandit spites back. Then- there was a large circle thing that was seen in the distance- i blink in complete, and due to my way to dried up nose, i cant really smell what it is exactly.
"What's that??" Nami questions as usopp leans forward, "Its a beetle!!" Some men shout, "Its a granddungbeetle!!" Some other men shouts, i just tilt my head a bit. "What's a grand dung beetle??" Sanji questions, "beats the hell out of me." Zoro replies, "Probably a beetle." I add on blandly. "Their desert bugs that haul around dung. Over a 100 people a year are squished by their rolling balls of menuwar." Barborosa explains- and i scowl in disgust, 'what a horrible way to die' I sweatdrop as i cross my arms.
As the dung rolls down- it squishes a unfortunate bandit speedily, "Captain!! That large dung ball is heading right towards up!!" One of Barborosa's men shouts, Barborosa grits his teeth before jumping off his ship, "Leave it to me!" He shouts before stopping the dung ball with his bare hands, and i look at him with surprise yet also wonder. Then- it rolls on him, "guess I should go help out now..." i mutter under my breath before running and jumping off the ship and unsheathing my sword, and i leaps into the air and performs multiple arched slashes in quick succession.
