chapter 13 - self deterioration.

maisie holds the knife and gun in both hands, she takes a deep breath. she rips the costume off of herself, she walks over into the kitchen and grabs a rag. she wipes the guns handle clean as she sets the gun next to rio, and keeps the knife in hand. she walks down a hallway and opens the garage door, she looks to see serenitys unconscious body, having knocked her out from behind when they both got separated from daria and rio earlier. she knew she needed to have atleast one other person to live with her..and she knew it had to be serenity, since nothing too bad happened to her..all the attention would be on maisie anyways. she then shut the garage door and walked back into the living room, she looked down at darias, brandons, and rios bodies. she knew her plan, and she knew she had to get it done.

maisie kneels down to brandons side, and grabbed his hand. she put it to her arm, and dug his nails into her skin as she ripped his hand by..creating a long scratch mark on her arm and getting her dna under his fingernails, she winced in pain as she held her arm. some blood even drawing now, she then stands and walks over to rios body. she grabs his hand and puts it around her throat, she squeezes as tight as she can..trying to get a bruise around her neck and getting her dna on his hands. she grunts and wheezes for air as she finally lets go, she rubs her neck as it really hurt now..she then came up with an idea, it was really gonna suck..but it was gonna be worth it. she walked down into the basement, and grabbed the heaviest dumbbell she could find, she carried it over to the couch as she sat down..she put her left leg up onto the coffee table infront of her, she then raised the dumbbell..she hesitated before finally dropping the dumbbell onto her leg, breaking it. she screamed loudly in pain as tears welled up in her eyes, "FUCK!" she cried out as she sat in pain, she used all her strength to pull herself up and limp back into the kitchen. she still had her knife in hand, she put it against her shoulder..she put the edge of the handle against the wall and..quickly ran into the wall, shoving the knife into her shoulder. she cried out in pain as she ripped the knife out, she held her shoulder as a tear fell down her face. she was in excruciating pain..she grabbed the rag she used once and wiped the knifes handle clean before setting it down next to brandons body, she grunted as she limped over into the living room..and slowly set herself onto the ground, she laid next to darias limp body..getting into the position that looked the most realistic before shutting her eyes slowly..

a minute or so goes by..and maisie starts to hear sirens start to come closer to the house, due to carmen calling the police earlier and telling them the address, they got there pretty fast. maisie still laid weakly in the living room as multiple police officers quickly rushed in, she softly spoke up as she raised her arm weakly, "help me..please..please help.." an officer rushed over to maisie, "don't worry miss, you're gonna be okay." maisie grunted in pain as she laid down, feeling the worst pain she could've ever imagined. the officer stayed next to her side until she got put on a stretcher, and got stretched outside..as soon as she did multiple flashing lights came her way, as many reporters and interviewers started to ask her questions about what had happened, feeling very proud of herself..this is the feeling she had always wanted, this is the fame she wanted.
maisie laid in the back of the ambulance weakly until she started to hear familiar voices, she opened her eyes to see..kym, xander, and maia. they all rush out of their cars and run up to the officers, wanting to know what had happened. maisie chuckled to herself knowing exactly what had happened..but everyone seemed to believe her about everything she was saying.

serenity then walks to the back of the ambulance and gets in with maisie. maisie asks, "..you alright?" serenity nods, "yeah, i just..i don't even like remember anything.." maisie shook her head, "me neither, it's all such a blur kinda.." serenity then asks, "..but it was brandon and rio?" maisie nods as tears well up in her eyes, "...i can't believe they got daria, her family's all here.." serenity holds maisies hand as kym, xander, and maia all rush over to the ambulance as kym asks, "...girls, what the hell happened?" maisie shakes her head, "ms. gray.." kym looks deeply as maisie continues, "daria..they.."
kym shakes her head, "no..no.." xander, kym and maia all look around frantically as the blue and red lights flash all around them.
