Through your eyes - Nico Hischier

Chapter 5 - The cabin

After hiding their connection for the rest of the week, but also barely talking to each other because as they are both captain of their teams, people always gather around them. But they could not help themself to sometimes exchange passionate look to make sure their feelings was mutual. Nico was staying for Y/N's practice and same as Y/N who was always seating in the stand to watch Nico play. 

Nico decided it was time to unravel his guarded heart. When his training was over, he thought of an idea which was as exciting as it was nerve-wracking. He decided to invite Y/N to spend a weekend with him at a little cabin tucked away in the serenity of the mountains.

With nervous fingers, he texted Y/N, 

"Would you like to escape the town's hustle this weekend? A small cabin waits amidst the calmness of the mountains. I promise, good company and a peaceful retreat. I am tired of trying to act like i don't need to be close to you around the boys"

Y/N was in the girls locker room, putting her cheer clothes. Her phone vibrate next to where she was sitting, but also wher Nina was sitting. 

Y/N's POV 

Nina looked over my phone, I then looked right back at my phone and noticed Nico notification, I was about to pick my phone but Nina rushed over it and stood up and was about to read the text outloud in the locker. But I ran over her and took aggresively my phone back

"Wow, chill girl.... Why are you so afraid of me reading that notification" Nina said with a smirk on her face*

"I am not !" I said arshly 

"You seem sensitive about that text , who is it Y/N, you can tell us right, we are your team remember ?" Nina looked at me waiting for some kind of anwser while everybody was gathering around to us

I was starting to boil inside, I like Nina, but sometimes she was to forward about topics that was not her business and the fact she was putting that I should tell her because we are in the same team brought that anger even more.

"Remember your place Nina, I am the captain now, you should focus more about learning your move and about not forgetting the routine before caring about my personal life" I said with a tone that put an icy cold in the room. I did not really measure my words and neither my tone. Nina was right, I was sensitive about that text because i have to keep this between Nico and I.

Nina was shocked about my answer, same as all the girls, except Amelia who stood up from the bench and approached Nina.

"She is right, you almost hurt me last time because you forgot your part, we cannot affoard that if we want to give a good performance....and everybody as personal matters even if we are a team" She said that, looking at everyone

Then she turned to me

"Everyone need their personal space and privacy especially our captain"

 she looked at me with such a kind smile that put down my anger.

Amelia was always very introverted, she did not talk much but was a very good cheerleader, even as a captain, I did not know a single thing about her except the fact that she was Italian and had great skills.

"Right! we are a team, a family, but like Amelia said, we need our personal space, if we don't feel comfortable charing something then don't, you don't have to" I said while looking at the girls and specially Nina

"I am here for everybody if something is wrong or if you feel sad, but even if I am the captain, I also have a personal life and some things that for the moment i will not share, do you understand Nina" I continued and waited for Nina answer
