It turned out Vanny and Cassie destroyed the jammer and breached the nodes before I had woken up, so that was nice.

I followed them through a forced open door and immediately started cramping. 

"Ah! My leg!" I exclaimed. I rubbed it. Guess I did have after effects.

Cassie was the first to act, throwing my arm around her shoulder.

"Here, until it stops," She says, smiling. I smile back. She seems more protective now than usual. 

...

Ironic, since I said I was going to protect her.

We kept going down the path we were supposed to go, until we saw a roped off area. I was about to say take off the tape, but Vanny tried it herself and slammed into some transparent pixels. 

"Fuck! Stupid--Ow!" Vanny said, holding her foot after she kicked the pixelated wall. I let out a little snicker, cause, a little humor is kinda what I need right now.

"You tell anyone about this and you two are dead!" Vanny said, glaring us down.

Cassie and I gave a scared thumbs up. We all put on our mask and walked through the wall. We took a turn and found our self in a room with a lot of wires and machines.

"Congrats technicians! You've gained access to the upper east server room!"

"This looks like a server room alright," I commented.

"You should be safe from the entity here."

...

"He jinxed it..." Cassie commented.

We walked along the path the server room gave us. Another message appeared.

"By deactivating the parent nodes, you have restored power to the east side of the Mega Pizzaplex."

...

I don't know if that was a good thing or a bad thing.

"If you deactivate all of the parent nodes in the west, you should be able to reach your friend in Roxy Raceway."

"So we're halfway there..." Vanny says, sighing.

"Time flies don't it?" I ask, chuckling. My leg cramped again in response.

"Ow..."

"From here on out, we might run into things that'll be out of our control," Vanny told us, "Be careful..."

Vanny bends down to my level and holds my shoulders. 

"Especially you. I don't know how Cassie and I will deal with the thought of you in a situation like before, or worse..."

I smiled sadly.

"Don't worry. I can't die before I confront her," I told Vanny. Vanny smiled happily. 

She gets up and stares at us.

"Well lets get a crack on then, shall we?"
