"We have to follow Roxy, but quietly," Vanny told us, "We don't want her to break off the path."

We nodded. The plan was set.

We made our way past the red doors and into the ruins of Roxy Raceway. We saw Roxy slam open another door before it closed. We ran up to it and tried to push the door, but it was for naught.

"Damn it! This won't open!" I yelled.

"We have to break the parent node... again..." Vanny says, pointing at a warped parent node.

"Seriously!? We were just hot on her tail!" Cassie complained.

"There's no other way," I said, "We just have to quickly get the child nodes...!"

...

"God it feels weird to say that."

We wasted no time getting the child nodes with a pep in our step.

There were four child nodes in total. One was in a portrait of Roxanne herself, which Vanny got. That activated a gate in which we couldn't turn back. We also couldn't take the mask off.

"What the hell!?" I asked.

"It's another jammer. That means--" Vanny said before something blitzed us.

WHOOSH

...

Glazetrap was behind us instantly.

...

"He's here?" I ask Vanny.

"Obviously..." she says.

We ran out of his grasp and saw the said jammer that was keeping us in the AR world.

Vanny stabbed it with her knife, and it short circuited, allowing access to the removal of our masks. We wasted no time doing said act.

"He's getting smarter. He's utilizing the jammers to try and keep us in his world to kill us," Vanny observed.

"Not smart enough. We're always one step ahead of him," I said recklessly. Vanny sighed.

"Alright, let's keep going," she said, walking.

We made our way to another potential node, so we went back into the AR world to breach the node. That caused another jammer to activate. Glazetrap was faster this time, but like I said before, we're always a step ahead of him. Cassie drop-kicks the jammer, de-activating it.

...

That was just having fun with it at this point. We took off our masks and made our way down another long path. When we put back on our masks, Cassie was distracted by something.

"Hey, Cassie? What are you--oh..."

It was a hologram of us. Cassie was crawled into a ball, crying her heart out, and I was there, assuring her that it would be okay.

...

I remember that memory like it was yesterday.

Less a year ago...

I was walking toward Superstar Daycare for a birthday bash. It was Cassie's birthday, so I had to look my best. I had the sickening feeling I was late, so I put a little pep in my step.
