Leo sighed as he sat on the couch, waiting for his 15 and 14-year-old sons to return home. He had just worked up for a horrible dream and he went to wake up his sons, only to find that they were not in their rooms. He was about to go to full panic mode when he noticed a party flyer on Lorenzo's bed and realized they must of snuck out with their friends.
Leo thought about storming there and dragging their sorry shells back home but decided against it. He wasn't Raph after all. No. Instead he will sit and wait like the patient mutant he is, and when his sons return home then he will release all his fury.
Honestly, he didn't expect this from them which was naive of him. Even Leo, the one who was never really disobedient when he was younger, snuck out when he was about their age. Then again, it was only for mission purposes and when his younger brothers pressured him to come along. The point being, if Leo could sneak off in the middle of the night despite his father's orders, then of course Lorenzo and Musashi could.
Where has the time gone? It seemed just yesterday, they were just boys, clinging on to him and scared that monsters were going to get them. He smirked as a memory popped in his head.
...
"CHICHIIII!!!"Leo rolled over on his bed with a groan, lifting up his covers just in time for his youngest son, Musashi to jump in beside him. Terrified, tear filled onyx eyes looked into his dark blue ones. "Hush, Sashi, what happened?" He asked tiredly while rubbing his hand up and down his son's shell. "Monster!"
Leo yawned. "Monster, huh?"
"It was really big and scary!" Musashi exclaimed. Leo sighed. "Sashi, you are getting too old for this. You know that monsters are not real."
"They are too real! It was in my room, trying to eat me!"
"Musashi-"
"It's the truth!"
Leo rubbed his eyes and puffed out a breath. "Look, it is late, and we both need to go to bed. You can stay here tonight but this is the last time, ok?"
"Ok."
Next night,
Leo was sleeping peacefully when-
"Chichi! HEEELP!!!"
Leo's eyes snap opened, and he groaned while getting up. "Not again..." He got out of bed and went into his son's room to see Musashi sitting up in the middle of his bed trembling, with a blanket wrapped around himself. "Musashi, what's wrong?"
"The monster is back!" He cried.
Leo pinched the bridge of his nose. "Sashi, enough of this, there is no monster. It was just a dream. Go back to sleep."
"It wasn't a dream! The monster is real! I swear it!" Before Leo could respond, he heard a noise coming from the closet. "See, see! I told you so!" His son said while hiding deeper into his blanket.
Slowly and cautiously, Leo went to the closet and grabbed the handle. He glanced at his son to see him peeking through the blanket before slowly opening the door, only for something to jump on top of him, causing him to let out a startled scream as his son screamed in terror, "AHHH!" but it soon died down when he heard laughing. "Huh?"
Looking down, he saw that what was sitting on top of his father's chest was not a monster but his older brother, Lorenzo who was laughing wildly. "I got you!" Musashi gawked. "Lou?!"
Leo sat up while rubbing his aching head. "Hi, Chichi!" Leo looked down at his oldest son then at his youngest. "It looks like we found your monster." Musashi pouted and crossed his arms as Leo picked up his other son. "Lorenzo, why were you scaring your brother?"
