A/N:  I've decided to connect all my stories together.  You won't have to read one to know what's going on in the other but it occurred to me as I was posting A walk that I had unconsciously made it so I could connect my stories together.  You'll have crossovers from standing in this chapter but the next chapter in standing will have the same part in it from that book pov so no worries, just thought I'd let you know.

LUKE POV

LUKE BREAKS HIS OATH

My eyes blinked in amazement. How could I have done this? I was forbidden to interfere in the life of Leslie Marie Strange unless her free choice had been taken from her and yet I kept doing it. No matter how many of her lives I destroyed I kept trying to protect her and yet I always ended up killing her. Well it was too late to change it now. I also knew the punishment for what I was doing. Especially since it affected the lives of mortals. Yet I had done it anyway. I guess my love continued to grow for her even though my body was in fact lifeless.

Turning so that I might indicate the way to go I saw the beauty that surrounded us had already enriched them. Bright colors swirled around us as their imaginations created our surroundings. I heard a gasp from Gray as he raised a hand to his face.

"I...I...can see." I smiled as I spoke.

"Of course brother. Limbo is what we wish it to be. Anything is possible here." Gray smiled widely as he looked around our small group. His eyes widened when they landed on Leslie but she only glared angrily at him. He struggled to hide the pain this caused him. Turning back to the front of the path I saw that my prayers had not been answered. I had hoped no one had noticed my indiscretion but three people stood in the grove of trees in front of us. Sara stood in the center. Her gray eyes stared angrily into mine as she tapped her foot on the ground. To the right stood Bruno, over 6'4', with bulging muscles, he looked scary as hell but was gentle as a lamb. To the left stood Bubu, he was about three with tousled brown hair and big blue eyes. All the spirituals (guardian angels) chose what age they were but Bubu was the only one who's age changed depending on his emotions. If he was really upset or scared he was three. For instance, if he were finally meeting the infamous Leslie. But usually he was an extremely intelligent seventeen year old genius.

As I was observing all this I discovered we had reached Sara before she could start her tirade I raised my hand.

"Please Sara I had to she's..." I paused and glanced at Leslie clutching Julian's hand. "Gone to the dark side." Leslie snorted and Sara glared.

"This is not the time Luke. The Library has been taken." Startled I jerked back. The Library was the knowledge of the guardians if it had been taken it meant that the demons knew how to cross to the living world of Earth. It meant earth was free reign to everyone dead or alive.

"But she hasn't chosen yet. How can it start without her being bad?" Sara sighed and pushed a hand through her white hair.

"I know but either someone on our side helped them or it's because you broke the rules again, for her. Who knows, all I know is that we need to get back down there and help before people get killed. All we have to do is get her on our side." Growling in frustration I threw my hands in the air.

"What do you think I have been trying to do. Why do you think I've brought her here?" I started to speak again but Sara placed her hand on my arm.

"You're too close Luke. You love her too much to think clearly. Let me try please." I could see the pain it caused her to say that. It hurt her, the knowing that Leslie would always mean more to me that her but she knew it was the only words she could use against me. She knew I had to step back and let her handle this. I stepped back so that Gray, Matt, and I stood a little apart from the group since we were the ones that were too close to Leslie. I gestured for Sara to go for it and tried not to wince at Leslie and Jules holding hands while Leslie simply glared at me. Sara walked over and placed her hand on Leslie's shoulder. Leslie's violet eyes met Sara's somber gray ones and a smile fluttered at the corners of her mouth.
