DIANA POV

I felt their sorrow as they huddled together around Jules and Leslie. Leslie lay still beside him her body lit with a fire that would not burn. I guessed it was one of her powers. She would have more and stronger powers than the others because she was the one. I figured that it was just a glimpse of what she could do. More than likely she had control over all of the elements. She never spoke a word as they comforted her, never moved nor blinked. This seemed to bother Gray more than anyone else. He seemed to be the quietest in the group. So what he did next surprised me. Suddenly the air in the room seemed cold and when he grabbed Leslie's arms the fire extinguished but she still didn't blink as he began to shout.

"You WILL NOT do this again. LESLIE, we do not have time for this. Mourn later but we have to learn our powers and get a plan so we can fight him." As he spoke they began to levitate in the air above us. Gray seemed to be wind and levitation but Leslie didn't seem to notice. As Gray saw this he landed back onto the ground while Leslie just stood there. Matt stepped in front of her and placed a hand on her cheek. As soon as his hand landed on her cheek a fire blazed brightly, surrounding them. Then quickly faded. Leslie was clutching him sobbing softly into his chest as he brushed the hair from her face. Theses people had love if nothing else and it was affecting me as well. I was startled when I spoke.

"This is my fault which is why I wish to go with you. At least you'll have more to fight with, please." Leslie seemed to think about this a moment and slowly nodded. She, apparently, didn't blame me as much as I thought. It was then Sara spoke.

"Oh, God where is Bubu?" Leslie's eyes widened as they all looked at me. I felt out with my powers and saw that he had not passed. They must have seen it in my eyes because all gasped. I decided that for now they needed some sleep so I told them it was time to leave this place. That way we could start again in the morning. I did not tell them I would no longer be a Guardian after I left this place and that I too would be human. They had enough problems without having to worry about one more person that could die. At least I would still have my powers.

LESLIE POV

"Leslie, I love you." I felt his hand against my cheeks as he leaned closer. I felt his lips pressed against mine as tears fell from my eyes. I forced myself to wake up then there was no point to stay asleep when you knew it was only a dream. I knew he wasn't coming back. Where were we? I had passed out from exhaustion and couldn't remember how I'd gotten here. I stood up and looked around the room. The bay windows showed a garden filled with roses and a fountain of a woman. I went to open the window and they went flying out into the garden before I had even touched them. I heard a chuckle and turned to see Sara holding out a cup of coffee as she leaned in my doorway. Taking the cup I turned and sat down on the bed.

Glaring at her I spoke. "You don't seem to be having a problem controlling yourself. What powers do you get?" Sara smiled and then giggled as she pushed back her bangs to reveal a bruise.

"Well, I already have the ability to heal and premonitions but I have never had anything else before. Therefore when I woke up this morning looking for coffee I wasn't prepared for the coffeepot hovering above my head. I was so startled I dropped the pot on my head. Thank goodness the coffee in it was cold. So I guess I have telekinesis, watch." She pointed at the door and curled her finger back. It slammed shut with a bang. I jumped slightly then grinned foolishly.

"Hey! A little help please?" We looked around the room unsure of who had spoken. Then we looked where the window had been and saw Gray floating there struggling to hang on. It took us several minutes to pull him in the window and even then he still floated several feet off the floor. We talked for a while and then I told Gray we needed to get dressed and figure out how our powers worked.
