{No one's Pov}

It has been a week since Ember had moved into the compound. Ember was closest with Wanda. She didn't really talk to anyone else.

"Hey Em..." Wanda waved in front of the woman's face. Snapping Ember out of her thoughts.

"Hey Wanda." Ember gave a small smile before continuing what she was doing.

Wanda pulled Ember away from her tasks. "We're having a warm up sesh. Come on."

"Wanda, I would rather stay here. Go without me." Ember insisted but the ginger woman rolled her eyes.

"Ember, whatever your last name is, this warm up session is for you. Get up!" Wanda's eyes glowed and Ember knew it was a playful threat, laughing as she stood from the ground.

"What do we do for this warm up thing?" Ember asked as Wanda dragged her to the common room.

"First, we get to know you and you get to know us before we all train together. Knowing each other's strength, powers, emotional state whilst fighting." Wanda explains. "I can't remember when this became a thing but it's a good way to get to know a teammate.

Ember stopped, making Wanda let go of her hand and face her. "Powers?"

"Oh, come on Ember." Wanda laughed, grabbing the brunette's hand again. "We'll see your powers eventually."

Ember went quiet, hoping her powers would be the last to be tested as such. Hoping she would get out of it.

{Ember's Pov}

"There she is!" Thor boomed as he came over and picked me up, spinning me around.

Once Thor had eventually put me down Wanda had led me to the centre of the room. I could feel my anxiety rise as everyone had their eyes on me.

"Let's kick this off easy..." Tony started, standing from his seat as I was pulled into one, sitting between Wanda and Natasha. "Drink of choice?"

"Lemonade will do." I say blandly. Dreading this all.

Once drinks were handed out and some of the awkwardness had died down, the questioning had begun.

"Oh oh oh! Powers. Born or man-made." Wanda was quick to ask.

I sighed. "Born."

Everyone either pulled a face to someone else or made a humming sound.

"Parents?" Natasha suddenly asked, she hadn't really said anything the whole time. And I froze.

"Um, gone." I shook myself out of it as I realised where I was.

"Hey we have another!" Tony laughed. "How are we all orphans?"

I smiled a little, knowing I'm not alone.

"Been in anything other than Shield?" Clint asked and I shook my head.

"Nope. Fury took me in quite early on." I smiled to myself as I remembered.

"How old are you?" Cap asked and I playfully gasped.

"Never ask a woman her age." Wanda playfully hit Steve. It was good to have this humour with others.

"Oh! I have another." Tony sat up as he clicked his fingers toward me.

"Shoot Stark." I laughed as he seemed to calm down again.

"Do you have anyone? Romantically?" Tony raised a brow but I could tell he didn't really care. And I knew he shouldn't, he has Pepper.

I shook my head. "Nope."

"No man satisfied the high standards?" Tony jokes.

I laugh, looking Tony straight in the eyes. "Man?"

All the men looked shocked and the women on the other hand looked proud.

"What is your sexuality then?" Bruce finally spoke. I haven't spoken to him yet but he looked nice.

"Don't bother the girl, Bruce." Tony laughed, pushing the subject aside. I didn't mind telling the group I was quite open about it.

"Right, when are we fighting?" Clint clapped his hands together. Everyone looked ready, I should know they looked at me for a reply.

I smirked at the archer, "Want to see what I can do?"

"Meet you in the training room." Clint stated before we were the first to get up, rushing to our rooms to get changed, I know this would get interesting.

After asking the AI in the walls to direct me to the training gym, as I still wasn't used to the layout of the building, I seemed to arrive before everyone.

Well that's what I thought until Natasha exited from what seemed to be a weapons room. She was quick to lock the door, checking it a few times before finally walking over.

"Don't get your hopes up, we never go easy. Well Steve, his traditions." Nat sighed as she sat down, handing me a bottle of water.

I laughed, "Let me guess. 1930's boy doesn't want to hurt a girl."

Nat took a split second to look at me, she never looked at me for longer, aways facing forward when we spoke. "He has his ways. Unless you piss him off."

"Is that easy to do?" I asked, finally taking a sip of the water she gave me.

Shaking her head again as she answered. "No, if he's mad at you, you've done something seriously wrong."

I nod when the others walk in. "Aww, Natasha made a friend." Clint teased as the group walked towards us.

"Shut it." Natasha was quick to respond, I decided not to ask.

Tony was first to call me up to fight with him. Great. I noticed Tony had his suit on. "Is that fair?"

I turned to look at the group although Natasha seemed to catch my eye, she was assumed. Steve answered, "You'll fight us as if we were in action. Tony always has his suit."

"So I can use my powers if I truly wished too?" I ask, just to make sure, even though I'm sure I wouldn't.

"Do your worst kid." Tony smirked before his face armour snapped down.

All the fights were the same. I dodge the shots, they shoot again. We have a fight. I rip a piece of their suit. Scare them with a small flame. I win, well, against the boys.

There were no breaks between the fight and next was Wanda. I knew my powers would have to be used a lot more than a small flame and I was starting to feel weak.

"My turn." Wanda jumped up and I gave a weak smile, not bothering to hide it anymore.

"Give me all you got witch." I laughed as I backed up from the edge of the ring. Maybe Wanda and I should go outside for this.

I frowned when I heard Natasha talk. "No. She needs a break."

The team seemed to scan me as I lent on the side of the ring. "I'm fine."

"You are not fine." Natasha argued back. "She's had no breaks in between fights and you want her to fight full strength with her powers? She won't last."

"Natasha, I'll be fine." I pushed again but she didn't seem to care.

"If you want to break our new teammate in a week, be my guest but I won't be here for it. And don't say I didn't tell you so." Natasha began to head for the door.

Taking a sigh, Steve called to the Widow "Nat, you're right. Take her to her room."

"Oh come on." I huffed as I exited the ring. Kind of glad I didn't have to use my powers more than a flame but I wouldn't tell them that. It shows weakness.

Natasha gladly handed me my bottle of water and a towel before walking back to my room.
