Don't worry I wont bore you all with the details of the deathday party, I know you guys are here for Draco.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So on Halloween night, instead of going to the feast like everyone else, we waked straight past, and headed for the party.

When we got there, Sir Nick was welcoming guests, and we walked in, to find many ghost, and a long table of putrid, un edible food.

Hermione said the extra mold was so they could taste it.

At one point, a ghost names Peeves waked, or rather floated, over, and started causing drama between Hermione, and a rather whiny ghost named Moaning Myrtel. it was quite childish really.

Some group called the headless hunt came in through the windows, and took over the party by doing tricks and flips and playing games with their severed heads. Apparently Sir Nick had applied to join the headless hunt, but got rejected because of his condition, and was still bitter about it.

That night we left the party rather early, seeing as how it was getting late and we still hadn't had anything to eat. But then I heard the voices again.

I stopped in my tracks, and Harry halted, leaning against the wall.

"Whater'you guys--?"

"Its that voice again, shut up a minute!" I exclaimed.

"You mean you can hear it too?" Harry asked. I looked at him and nodded, surprised he could.

"Sooo hungry. . . for so long. . . "

"Listen!" Harry said urgently, and Ron and Hermione froze.

"Kill. . . time to kill. . ." I could swear the voice was moving upstairs. How could it do that? It didn't matter. My eyes were probably a mixture of amber and italic for fear and determination. Those were not a good mix.

I strained my ears to hear it, and I could make it out on the floor just above us. "I smell blood. . . I SMELL BLOOD!"

"It's going to kill someone!" Harry shouted, ignoring Ron and Hermione's bewildered faces. we darted upstairs, taking three steps at a time.

"Skylar whats this all about?" Ron asked, coming up behind me. "I don't hear any--"

"Look!" shouted Hermione, pointing.

Written in blood, shining between torches on the wall, was THE CHAMBER OF SECRETS HAS BEEN OPENED. ENEMIES OF THE HEIR BEWARE.

We looked to the left on the ground to see a puddle of water, and, scared to look up, we slowly saw that hanging from it's tail from a torch, was the petrified cat, Mrs. Norris.

We jumped back with a splash. Ron wanted to leave, said we didn't want to be found here. But Harry wanted to stay and help. It was too late though, because the feast had ended and people were starting to come up.

Teachers and the care taker himself, as well as students had all arrived and were standing around us. Some were whispering not so quietly among themselves, some shouted an dpointed, Filch had a right fit about his cat, and demanded we be punished. However the teachers assured him that she was jsut petrified and it would be fixable once the plants we were growing in Herbology had finished.

Of course Lockheart had to be there, bosting about how he had dealt with much worse then this, and Snape had stopped us, asking why we didn't join the feast afterword, and when Ron said we weren't hungry, he accused us of not being entirely truthful (which we weren't but really Professer?).

He tried to revoke my right to play for the Gryffindor team, and tried to get Harry off the broom altogether, in an obvious attempt to sabatoge the upcoming game.

However, there were no punishments, seeing as how this was not really in our control, but in his rage Filch reviled that he's something called a Squib.

Dumbledore dismissed us, and we headed for Gryffindor tower.

"Do you think we should have told them about the voices?" I asked.

"No," Ron said "Hearing voices isn't a good sign, even in the wizarding world."

Something in Ron's voice made Harry ask, "You do believe me, don't you?"

"Course I do," said Ron quickly. "But—you must admit it's weird..."

"I know it's weird," said Harry. "The whole thing's weird. What was that writingon the wall about? The Chamber Has Been Opened... What's that supposed tomean?"

"You know, it rings a sort of bell," said Ron slowly. "I think someone told me astory about a secret chamber at Hogwarts once... might've been Bill..."

"And what on earth's a Squib?" said Harry. To his surprise, Ron stifled a snigger.„Well—it's not funny really—but as it's Filch," he said. "A Squib is someone whowas born into a wizarding family but hasn't got any magic powers. Kind of theopposite of Muggle-born wizards, but Squibs are quite unusual. If Filch's trying tolearn magic from a Kwikspell course, I reckon he must be a Squib. It wouldexplain a lot. Like why he hates students so much." Ron gave a satisfied smile. "He's bitter."

A clock chimed somewhere. "Midnight," said Harry. "We'd better get to bed before Snape comes along andtries to frame us for something else."
