"Empress needs to see you"

"She doesn't look so good"

Those words reverberated in my brain as I hurried to go see Empress in the sickbay. After Dayo came to I and Justice to let us know where she was, I had to let Justice go first because i was on an errand for a teacher.

To be honest, I was very scared. I'm still scared and I didn't know what to do about it. My hands were shaking profusely even when I opened the door.

My heart stopped at the sight.

She looked pale. There was a huge injury at the side of her face which stood out.

Yet she was smiling.

How???

"Empress what happened?" I whispered. She looked up at me and grinned.

"I hit my face against the door. How are you?"

"Against the door?" I asked, looking at Justice. Hitting your face against the door was not a good explanation for that injury, Justice shrugged .

"Yep. I slipped"

She looked so happy...

But I didn't feel convinced.

Nope, not at all.

"Empress?"

"Please Elowynne, drop it"

I swallowed a huge lump of saliva and tried to breathe evenly. There was this headache that was forming in my head and I felt like diving into a body of fresh water to cool off.

"Okay then. I'll be back" I muttered.

"You okay?" Justice asked. I nodded and walked out. I went straight to my gym locker and brought out a small shirt and a little vest.

I changed quickly and stared at the pool longingly.

"You can just dive inside you know. Staring at it like that won't get the water to you"

I jerked round and gasped.

Zayne.

He was as good looking as ever, staring at me with the usual blank expression. He wore a vest like mine, only longer and with a pair of shorts.

"I'm gonna dive okay? Just...want to admire the water" I muttered. He scoffed and looked away. I was getting a bit annoyed with his attitude, I mean ever since he helped me, he has been acting weird.

"What's with the attitude anyway? Why do you act weird around me these days?" I blurted out.

He slowly turned around to stare at me.

"I'm not acting weird" he muttered.

"So?"

"You don't wanna know"

"I want to, just say it"

He sighed.

"Te deséo, that's why"

I frowned, what the hell did he just say? The expression in his face wasn't readable. I kept blinking at him as his gaze travelled back and forth from my lips to my eyes.

God... just kiss me...

"Never mind" he muttered. I sighed and turned away from him. I knew Zayne wasn't a talker and it was an issue for him, but that didn't mean he should give me the attitude. I really didn't like it.
