"Today has been one of the best days that I have had in a long time. Thank you Rain." Phayu said as Rain took care of the dinner bill.

"I really don't want the day to end," he said, looking at Rain longingly.

"Do you want to stay for a nightcap here," pointing to the bar, "or go someplace else?"

It was their last night in Singapore and neither could deny that something had been shimmering underneath the surface all afternoon and evening.

Phayu was hopeful that the progress they had made yesterday and today was moving them forward, away from their painful past and into a happier future.

For Rain, tonight had been the perfect opportunity to advance his plans for some flirtation or even seduction.

With that in mind, he had planned the remainder of the day after their visit to the Leins' house meticulously, ending with dinner just now at a place that was touted as one of the "Sexiest Restaurants" in the city.

And it was.

Everything about Aniba from the inconspicuous street entry tucked into the Bank of China building to the private elevator that took you directly into the restaurant on the 5th floor with views of the Singapore River, gave the place an air of anticipation and mystique.

Even the name was meant to evoke anticipation. Ani-ba meant 'here I come' in Hebrew.

The private elevator's door opened into the lobby of the restaurant which felt like a magical underwater cave with glittering scales decorating the walls.

The dining space was intimate as the dimly lit room enfolded them in a way that made them feel like they were the only two people there.

The restaurant was run by an Israeli chef and was known for its Middle Eastern dishes with a European twist featuring seafood, dips, breads, and inventive vegetable dishes that were a sensory delight and meant to be shared
