Her father stepped out on the porch and waved his hand telling Samantha to come over to the porch and stand in front of him. As Samantha got closer her mother stepped out. When Samantha saw the fear on her mother's face and the stern look on her father's face she started crying. When she got to her house she was sobbing. Her mother hugged her and said,
"Where have you been? We were worried sick!"
"I.. I.. I.. I'am sorry. I didn't want to worry you," Samantha said as her mother cradled her.
"What were you doing? Have you snuck out before?" Her father asked his face softening to more of a concerned look then a stern look. Samantha explained between sobs what she had been doing and how long. Samantha's parents stepped inside to talk about her punishment. When they returned outside they told Samantha she was grounded for a week. Samantha begged them to let her help the horse but they told her no.
"Honey she is a wild animal she can take care of herself," said Samantha's mother.
"But mom!" Argued Samantha.
"No buts listen to you mother. Now go up to your room you are officially grounded," said Samantha's father ending the conversation.
