Then there were sorrows... and my deaths. It greatly frightened me...
~ Memory Journal: The Last page 3 ~
The silence is so loud, Hoseok thinks he is going deaf. None of his team members are saying anything, nor one of them are moving at all. It seems that everyone is waiting for something with their bated breaths.
It's somehow suffocating. The elephant in the room is so ginormous, it's exhausting the air. The room feels so small with the four of them around.
Namjoon is on his swivel chair. Jin is quietly sitting on the couch on the left end, while Taehyung is slouching at the other end with his feet restlessly silently tapping on the carpet. Hoseok on the other hand is by the wall with the shelves of Namjoon's figurines. Somehow, after hours of waiting on anything from Jimin and Jungkook's end, one by one, they have commune once again, and this time, in their leader's music studio -Rkive. It's as if, they are called for another meeting, but actually they are not. They just happen to choose the place for hiding... or more likely to ponder on everything that has been happening.
As he leans over the sturdy wall, a question repeatedly constricts his neck in a chokehold.
"Must we just stay? Then, what?" The same words burst out from Taehyung's lips before it can whip out from Hoseok's.
"Don't you want to go there?" Hoseok finally asks, seconding Taehyung's impatience.
"Don't we all?" Jin says.
"But Yoongi-hyung was right. We can't just burst in her home and announce that we're all her soulmates." Namjoon sighs.
"But she already knows." Hoseok retorts.
"Still... It's rude." Jin frowns.
Hoseok sighs.
True. It would be downright disrespectful. Even though it's obvious how she had been keeping them away for how many years, they don't have the right to confront her. Being rash and rough will scare her away all the more.
"She's so pale. She was thinner than the last time..." Hoseok's ears perk up with Taehyung's muttering. Jin and Namjoon worriedly watch Taehyung's blank gaze on his fidgeting fingers. It's as if, Taehyung is not with them, rather, he is so far, somewhere where their soulmate is within reach.
"Taehyung..." Hosoek mumbles whilst walking closer to the younger and plops by his side. "All of these... Us, being in multiples... are you okay with this?
"What choice do I have?" Taehyung swipes his hair up, face contorting to a frown.
Hoseok sighs and leans over the back rest, eyes still observing the frustration on the younger's face. "Aren't you angry?"
"No." The answer is quick. "It's not that." Taehyung pauses then continues..." The moment Jungkookie opened up about the convenience of us all in a multiple bond somehow made me hopeful for its possibility."
