Sanji was driving while Zoro looked at the landscaping. No one was talking. It was almost one week since they arrived. Today was Thursday, and in two days was the big opening of Sanji restaurant. They still had a little more of one week of holiday. One week to spend together, before going back to their life.

Zoro sighed. It was going better than what he had imagined. Over time, a routine was established. In the morning, they would all have breakfast together, and then Luffy would go and taste some of the dishes that Sanji had prepared for him to get his opinion. They would then join the others at the pool, where Sanji would help Chopper learn to swim. Then, Sanji prepared lunch, which they all ate together. After lunch, the boys went to the beach while Sanji went to work at the restaurant, and Nami stayed at the house. Sanji would come back to prepare dinner, and once the boys had gone to bed, Zoro and Sanji would meet up again for the blonde's pleasure. A real routine.

The boys seemed to be fond of Sanji and Nami, and he could tell it also worked the other way round. To Zoro's surprise, Sanji was quite good with children, and he loved the boys, you could tell from his smile.

The boys were living their best lives, too. They had so much energy, even more than usual. They were always smiling and laughing. Even when they did something stupid, they would proudly show it to Sanji or Nami. Zoro knew that it was good for the boys to be around other people. When they were in the flat, they always stayed with each other. Even in school, Zoro knew they didn't feel at ease with other people and preferred to stay with each other. He was surprised that the boys had felt at ease with Sanji and Nami so quickly but were very happy about it.

What about him? He didn't really know. He liked the woman, even if she was a mean witch who always tried to take advantage of the situation. He liked to see the boys happy like that. But he still tries to avoid a maximum of the blond. Which was really difficult because most of the time they spent it all together. And sometimes he can't help but look at him and smile, especially when he's interacting with Chopper or Luffy. And this feeling scares him a lot. Even in their private moment, he felt Sanji be less rough and a little gentler with him.

Zoro sighed. So, he tried to avoid the blond, but here he was alone with Sanji in the car. They were going to do some grocery shopping for next week. Zoro didn't originally plan to go with him, but Sanji asked him to cook his special pancakes tomorrow for breakfast. So, he needed to come and buy the ingredients for it.

"So, how do you like the holiday?" Sanji asked, not liking to drive in silence.

"The boys seemed to like it." Zoro replied, still looking through the window.

"I asked your feelings, not those of the boys." Sanji told him curious because even if he had spent more time with Zoro than the boys, he knew the boys better than the man sitting next to him. He was very secret about everything and talked really rarely.

Zoro shrugged, "It's alright, I think." He didn't like to talk about his feelings. He never had to, and he never had someone asking for his opinion. But he thought about the question, and it was the reality. The holiday was OK. There were no other incidents like the one on the first evening. The boys were enjoying their holiday. He hadn't completely forgiven Sanji, but seeing him interact with the boys had calmed him down. He wasn't angry anymore. He simply preferred to avoid talking to him to avoid any more embarrassing situations. He'd done pretty well so far till this moment in the car.

"Well, I'm pleased to hear that." Sanji grinned at him, but Zoro didn't respond. Sanji decided to continue the talking. It was so rare that he had a moment alone with the green-haired man to talk.

"The boys are really important to you, aren't they?" Sanji asked, knowing it was one of the subjects he would probably talk about.

Sanji had seen how he treated the boys. Zoro was like a mother bear, ready to do anything to protect her cubs, always keeping an eye on them. He never imagined the green man like that well. He always thought he was a heartless man who was attached to nothing. That's mostly because that was how Zoro was in the Pleasure Bar. But Sanji was wrong, and now he knew it.
