Sanji was calmly sleeping when he was awakened by some screams coming from the house. It took him a minute to remember that he was in his room, peacefully sleeping. As he glanced at the clock on the wall, he saw that it was only 4 a.m. But when he heard one more scream, he panicked and got out of bed. The first thing he thought about was Nami-chan. He hoped she wasn't the one screaming. If anybody even imagines laying a finger on her, he will go crazy. Nobody is allowed to hurt a woman in front of him, especially a woman he loves.

Sanji didn't take time to change; he was half naked with only large pants on him. He ran toward the corridor but stopped, surprised when he heard where the screams were coming from. It was the room next to his. The one Zoro was sleeping on. Sanji didn't know what to do. Was he allowed to enter the room? Would Zoro even be angrier at him after that? Should he knock? He didn't know what to do.

He heard some inaudible words coming from the room, which convinced him. He took a big inspiration and decided to enter the room to see what was going on.

"Zoro what's goi..." Sanji didn't finish his sentence, surprised by what he was seeing. The green-haired man was sleeping in his bed; he was sweating and moving during his sleep. He could see Zoro's lips moving but couldn't understand one thing: he was too far. So, he approached the bed when he finally heard Zoro's voice crack.

"Please, don't, please. You promised me. Don't do that."

Sanji stared at the young man. His body was trembling, and his arms were around his chest like they would protect him. The cook could see a drop of sweat running down Zoro's face.

"Please, I love you, don't hurt me."

Sanji's heart broke when he heard the tone Zoro was using. He had never seen someone that broken. Every feeling Zoro was going through could be seen in his face: the pain, the disappointment but mainly the fear. For Sanji one thing was sure: this wasn't only a nightmare. This must be something, or mostly someone who hurt Zoro. Zoro had confidence in this person and had told him outright that he loved him. But this person, instead of cherishing this precious man, harms him. Sanji felt his anger grow in him. Who could hurt someone like Zoro? He would do anything to protect this man now that he is living in his house. Sanji knew very little about Zoro, even though they'd known each other for months. He was so secretive.

Sanji was going to shake Zoro to wake him up when the man finally snapped from his nightmares by himself. Sanji fell to the ground on his buttocks in surprise. It seemed that even with the loud noise he made by falling, Zoro didn't see him. The man was sitting in his bed, staring lost in the room, a hand on his heart that was beating too fast, and the other one was caressing the scar. Could that person, Zoro, be dreaming about the same one that gave him this scar? It was a possibility, Sanji thought.

Sanji finally decided to raise and go help Zoro.

"Zoro." He whispered to not starled Zoro. But the man in the bed jumped when he heard another voice in his room, and most precisely the blond one.

"Are you alright?" Sanji asked.

"What are you doing here?" Zoro finally spoke. His voice was a little broken, but he tried his best to make it as cold as possible.

"I heard you scream and came to check on you." Sanji explained, looking at the other man, whose gaze was still on the wall in front of him. Sanji was sure he was focusing on not letting any tears fall.

"Well, I'm alright. You can go now." Zoro replied curtly.

"But Zoro, you don't seem well."

"Go! Now! Please..."Zoro closed his eyes; he felt the tears coming, and he didn't want to let the blonde or any person see how broke he was inside. Because that was who he was. A broke person who tries to hide how he really feels. Sanji looked at Zoro surprised. The tone he used wasn't the one he used to talk with; it wasn't his cold, asshole voice. This one was more broken; it was more of a begging. Sanji felt that the man wasn't ready to confess at the moment. So, he didn't say anything and just stood next to the bed. He looked one more time at the young man, who was now looking the other way to hide his face, and Sanji left slowly.
