Surprise Attack

(Two days later)

(Jaune pov)

I awoke feeling refreshed and i then realized that today was the day that we were meant to report back to Beacon, I got up and washed before dressing myself and then i joined Pyrrha for some breakfast.

For most of the morning we trained with Pyrrha's magic and i put even more emphasis on her trying to kill me. Thankfully over the past two days Pyrrha had become a little more accustomed to using her powers to kill but i made sure that she understood that this was only to be used when there was no other option, Due to Pyrrha being such a kind person she agreed that she would only kill after she had exhausted all other alternatives.

Eventually it was getting close to late afternoon and we made our preperations to depart when my scroll rang and i saw it was Ren. Quickly i answered the call and he explained that there had been an explosion in the city and Grimm were coming out of a hole in the ground right in the center of Vale. I notified Pyrrha immediately told her to fly to the city, We weren't that far out so she should get there pretty fast. When Pyrrha took off i entered the spectral realm and ran to the city at top speed, Due to time not passing in that realm i knew i'd be there before my partner but she'd arrive soon after me.

I arrived in Vale and when i exited the spectral realm all i could see was absolute chaos, Normally i like chaos but this involved innocent people and was certainly not fun so i grabbed my scroll and summoned my locker from the school.

After a minute my locker crashed down and i grabbed the Blood Reaver, I then set about attacking the Grimm that i could see. Several Beowolves were clawing at the door of a shop and trying to enter so i rushed them and cut them down, As i was finishing the last one i heard a growl from behind me. When i turned around i saw a massive Ursa looming over me ready to swing it's huge paw to crush me, Suddenly i saw Ren land on it's shoulders and stab stormflower right through it's skull.

Ren leaped backwards with a flip and landed as the beast turned to black smoke, I stepped close and gave him a fist bump. "Thanks Brother, You just saved me a trip to the Spectral realm there" Ren just smiled and nodded, Next i asked where Nora was and before he could answer she came smashing down onto a Beowolf that was approaching from the corner of the next street.

"Nora ! I was wondering where you were" I said while i walked over and gave her a high five, "I am a Queen and this is my Kingdom, So i should defend it from evil !" She said in an overly dramatic nature. I couldn't help but laugh slightly but we were soon shaken out of our mirth when a giant Nevermore came screeching down towards us, It turns out that there was no danger because Pyrrha flew onto the scene and sent bolts of electricity through the creature killing it instantly.

"Nice timing Pyrrha" Praised her when she came down to land next to us, She beamed with joy and then i turned my attention back to the battle. Team CVFY was just arriving and killing Grimm at an insane rate but i wasn't one to be outdone, "Okay Team JNPR we can't let them beat us so let's do this !!" I shouted then charged into the fray, My team shouted their agreement and also ran it to begin dispatching the Grimm.

We had been killing Grimm for a while now and there were noticably fewer than there were before. My team joined with Ruby and her team and we were doing rather well at keeping the Grimm contained in the central plaza, Pretty soon Ms. Goodwitch showed up and sealed off the hole that was made by the bomb and train crash that Ruby had mentioned when i asked how it happened earlier. Ruby also mentioned that the culprit was Roman and i still couldn't figure out exactly what he was up to as this wasn't his style.

Eventually there were no Grimm left in the area and so everyone there split up to scout the surroundings for any that had managed to slip by us. I found myself walking down a street and it was quite dark by now, I was just about to turn back when i saw a Beowulf stalking down a side street so i leapt up to the rooftops and followed it until it stopped, There were no others around so i attacked and cut the beast down without a thought and that's when i noticed that two people were sneaking through the shadows into a building down the street.
