Round one.

(A few days later)

(Jaune pov)

My team and i have done some training to be ready for the tournament and we even worked out some team attacks in order to be prepared for whatever we might face in the arena. "You ready guy's ??" I asked as we got ready to leave for the stadium. "YEAH, We're gonna break some legs today YEE HAW !!" Nora yelled, I looked at Ren who just shrugged as if to say 'i've got no idea' And Pyrrha nodded with a smile but she did have a small bead of sweat on her forehead.

We left the dorm and walked over to the fair ground to await our match and eventually we heard an announceent that Team RWBY had won their first match, We were up next against Team BRNZ but we had time for lunch first. When we got to a noodle stand we saw Team RWBY who were ready to eat but apparently there was a problem with Weiss' credit card which i did find slightly amusing since she was so rich but i didn't laugh because that must be embarrassing. "Allow me" Pyrrha said as she put down her own card and we got a large bowl of noodles each.

After the meal we were just basking in satisfaction due to our full stomachs when Nora let out an incredible burp. I couldn't help but follow suit and let out one even louder, "Oh ho a powerful rival has appeared" Nora said while giving me a side glare with a grin. Ren quickly told her to stop because no-one wants to see a burping contest between the two of us so she relented.

"Will Team JNPR Report to the battlegrounds please" i heard Master call over the P.A system "Like they should have several minutes ago" Dr. Oobleck added and we began our trek to the bullhead pads to travel up to the venue.

(Timeskip)

We reached the arena and took our positions and awaited the stage selection, We got a mountain on our side while team BRNZ got the forest. I looked to my team and nodded and they did the same as they knew what i meant.

(Flashback)

"Guy's in the tournament i'm not going to use some of my powers" I told them. "What do you mean ??" Ren asked so i laid it out for them. "Considering that i can drain aura and completely avoid attack's i could easily win by myself but you guy's are skilled so i've decided that i won't doing any realm shifting or draining of Aura", Pyrrha then chimed in too "I also won't be using my powers either, Except my Semblance of course" Pyrrha stated. I put my hand out for them to touch "We're going to win this together, JNPR on three...1...2...3" and everyone shouted "JNPR !!!" This way everyone get's to show off what they can do.

My team saw the wisdom in this and supported it completely, "But that doesn't mean i'm not going to use some of my powers" I said activating the fire Reaver. Nora got a devious smile on her face and grinned evily at which time Ren and Pyrrha started to sweat slightly.

(Flashback end)

The horn that signaled the start of the match sounded and we immediately ran forward, I noticed one of the members of team BRNZ dash back to the forest and leap up into a tree where she trarted to fire at us with a sniper rifle. "Pyrrha, Flame Tank !!" i shouted to her and she stepped in front of me and raised her shield, "Nora, Grand Slam !!!" She nodded and retreated to the mountain. "Ren, Queens guard !!" Ren also nodded and took a position in front of the mountain and provided fire support for Nora as she was climbing.

I activated the Fire Reaver and began to blast the Forest that the sniper had retreated too and i noticed her having to switch trees to avoid the blasts of fire i was sending her way. One member of team BRNZ sent these buzzsaw like disk's towards me but thanks to Pyrrha they were deflected, When the forest was nothing more than a smoking wasteland i tapped Pyrrha on the shoulder and she then ran in to disptch the guy with the disk weapon. I switched to the Darkness Reaver and vanished from sight after using it's power to obscure myself.
