Anu and Vineet's relationship can be summarized in many ways - tutor and student, friends, grade-mates, neighbors. After 10 years, they can confidently add another to the list - lovers.

Anu pored over her textbook. It was an additional material that focused specially on problems related to equivalence resistances. She had been working on a problem, in which the resistances were arranged in an elaborate rhombus, for the past 15 minutes and was still getting different and weird answers.
She threw down her pen, huffing.
Who in the world had time to design such questions, anyway? They should look out the window sometimes. Use that time to instead take a walk and appreciate nature. Stupid, stupid physics authors.
She stared down at her textbook, her nose high. You want war? I'll give you war!
She began trying to solve the problem, again.
After 15 minutes, she was blinking again. She was about to cry. In moments like these, she immediately ran to Vineet to get help.
Quickly, she tied her unruly hair in a bun and grabbed a pen, a notebook and the material and made a dash for it.
She dashed out of her room, her mother (who was in the kitchen) watching her in a daze, the maid (who was mopping the floor) watching her in amusement. She dashed out of the house. What she would have noticed, had she walked normally, was that there was a puddle of water in front of the house, due to the apartment cleaners cleaning the corridors of each floor.
She slipped. In Anu's perspective, it all happened in slow motion. Her foot slipped. Her head seemed to be going below. Quickly, she tried to scramble for some sort of support and instead starting twisting around. Somehow she got into a position, where she smoothly skated through the corridor towards Vineet's house, barefoot. She reached the wall, and held her palms against it for support.
She sighed in relief. She had managed not to slip and fall.
Suddenly, she heard the sound of claps behind her.
The two brothers, who were neighbors, were clapping, holding on to their lollypop in their mouth.
Anu closed her eyes, embarrassment showing through in her face.
