Minho Love Story (Maze Runner fan fic)

Two

The next morning I am woken up by sunlight shining in my eyes, not to mention Newt and Minho watching me sleep.

"You guys want some popcorn or are you done being creepy?" I ask. They just laugh as do I and I know that I have never laughed as much as this in the past twelve hours. I get them to leave so I can get dressed and walk out, only to be greeted by Alby standing in front of my door.
"Hey Alby." I say returning the smile he had plastered on his face. "What?" I ask him and he continues to smile.

"I can see why Minho likes you. You're beautiful, smart and kind." He states and I blush but behind him was a not so happy Minho.

"Alby! What are you doing?" Minho shouts and I defend Alby. 

"Minho, it's not what it looks like. He was just giving me compliment." He huffs and walks out. I follow him then Alby follows behind. I run up behind Minho and hug him from behind.

"Hey. I'm still yours, you don't have to worry about that." I assure him and he just laughs. He can never hold a grudge with me. I smile knowing that he is no longer grumpy. We made our way to the makeshift kitchen for breakfast, all of us enjoying each other's company. 

As I was eating breakfast I heard the doors opening. It was going to take longer to get used to it but, I'll survive. It didn't mean I wasn't curious about what was beyond those walls in fact, every passing day made me more curious. As though there was something that I wasn't supposed to see or discover. 

"Hey, have you ever thought of going out here for at least a day?" I ask. They all look at me like I'm crazy.

"Yeah. She's right. We should at least explore it." Minho says and I smile. I have always been the problem solver when it came to our group.

"What are you smiling at?" Newt asks. I can't help but laugh.

"The fact that I am still the problem solver and it's been like 5 months since we last saw each other." I reply. He just laughs. He knows I have a fair point.

That's the story of how me and Minho are running what we have discovered is a maze. It feels nice but it is so damn confusing. We are really good matching each others pace so, it was easy to keep up with one another. We weren't going to go in very far.

"Whatcha thinking about?" Minho asks me. I look over at him, making sure I wasn't about to run into a wall.

"Nothing just running. But I do have an Idea." I reply.

"And what's that idea?"

"Maybe we continue doing this. Try and find a way out of this godforsaken place. I'm sure it's become obvious that there's going to be more arrivals. We could recruit as many as we can of them as we can." By now we have stopped to eat and catch our breath. Minho looks at me like I've gone crazy but knows I have a fair point. We can't just spend the rest of our lives in here. 

"Yeah. That's a fair point. We will talk to Alby about it once we get back. Speaking of which. We should go." The walls are about to close soon. 

I nod in reply and we head back. Soon enough we are back in the glade with a nervous looking Alby and Newt but relief washes over them as we round the corner to the glade.

"Hey. Sup guys" I ask as though we didn't just risk our lives for a tour of the place surrounding us.

"Did you find anything?" Alby asks. I know something's up but, I decide not to push. If I know anything over the past couple of days, it's  that you should NEVER push Alby with something.

"No. But I tell you what. That place is shucking confusing." I reply. Alby leaves and I am standing dumbfounded.

"What's his problem?" I ask Newt.

"Oh nothing. Probably the fact that we remember and he doesn't." He replies. I nod and walk off. Our time here is going to be interesting.
