It's been a few months since the Glade went on strike and it hasn't happened since but nothing has changed. There is probably less appreciation from Alby than what there already was and a way out of the maze still hasn't been found. Minho and I seem to be closer than ever before. I truly am in my element.

Currently, Minho and I are in the deadheads on a 'date' but it's really so we can get away from the gladers and have some alone time. Time we haven't had in a while. Nowadays we rarely run together and when we do see each other, it's usually in the map room, at dinner or going to bed. Meaning we are usually too tired of everything to do anything else. Basically, we sucked it up and decided the deadheads was the most romantic place possible.

The gladers have also begun to catch on to just how serious the relationship actually but, what can they expect after almost 2 years being in the Glade? Every now and again when they see us together, hoots and hollers erupt from their stupid faces and smart ass remarks. Usually directed at me questioning why I would choose Minho. If only they knew.

"What are you thinking about?" Minho asks me, breaking the silence between us. It was peaceful really. The birds were chirping, there was a light breeze making the tops of the trees sway and the sun had set, welcoming the moon to its nightly post. It wasn't just peaceful, it was beautiful.

"Nothing. Just enjoying the peace." I answer and he nods in understanding. A new greenie is due tomorrow and I am trying to get out of it with Alby but I'm not liking my chances.

"So do you think Alby will let you out of tomorrow?" Minho asks me and I shake my head with a slight scoff.

"No doubt it. I'm thinking of testing myself with a night in the maze. Can't be bothered with all their questions." I joke and Minho smiles then gives a slight frown. "What's wrong?" I question.

"Just feel sorry for them. They don't know what they're getting themselves into. They get thrown into a place they've never seen before with a giant maze between them and getting out of here." He says and I look at him.

"You think that's why Alby gets me to do the tour? To make them feel more at ease?" I question and he answers by shrugging then giving me a devilish grin before basically jumping on me, making my lie down on my back while he hovers above me. He gives me a small kiss then gets up. "What was that for?" I laugh and he shrugs.

"Dunno. Maybe because I love you." He answers and I stop what I was doing. He seemed oblivious to what he just said.

"What did you say?" I ask him and he looks at me.

"I love you?" But now it's more of a question as he realises what he just said. I walk over to him and give him a long kiss on the lips, a smile plastered across my face.

"I love you too." I reply before we begin making our way out of the woods.

As we exit the deadheads, we forget that we are holding hands, inciting more hoots and hollers from the gladers around us. Even at night time and they can still see us.

"Yeah go Minho!" One of them shouts and we see that it was last months arrival who seems to not know when to stop when it comes to Minho. I bite my lip to stop myself from laughing.

"Slim it shuckface!" He shouts in his direction and the kid is left with a dumbfounded but arrogant grin left on his face. However, it doesn't stop him from leaning down slightly and giving a quick peck on the lips which earned more shouts than necessary from the gladers. We gradually make our way over to the kitchen to get a quick snack to bring to my room before Alby calls it a night.

As we sit in my room, we talk about everything and anything as none of us could sleep whilst also eating a packet of chips to pass the time. Apparently we were being too loud though because we hear Alby shout through the door:

"Shut up and go to sleep!" We laugh but do as told; shutting off the light and getting under the covers, a permanent grin plastered on my face. By then it was 2 in the morning and we knew we would pay for it later.

When we woke up the next morning  we were exhausted. As we struggled to get out of bed we look at each other and we notice how awake we aren't. This is not going to be a fun day. As we make our way to the kitchen to get an early breakfast from Frypan so we can begin our day in the maze we are stopped by Alby, who has a smirk on his face.

"Hey guys." Alby greets and I try my best to look awake; didn't work.

"Hi Alby." I reply trying my very best not to sound tired but failing miserably. It more came out as a tired slur.

"Sleep well?" He asks, his smirk getting bigger each time he makes us talk.

"I see what your do-" Minho goes to say but is cut off by my elbow hitting him in the stomach. Minho looked and sounded worse than me and that's because he refused to go to sleep before he knew I was. He groans in pain but shuts up.

"Go and rest we can't have tired runners." We nod and walk back to the homestead, go to our own rooms and get a few more hours shut eye; which was desperately needed.

When I wake up, I see Minho standing in my doorway, watching my sleep and now wake up. He seemed mesmerised and hadn't realised that I'd woken up.

"Minho!" I shout and he just about falls over after jumping so high. I laugh. "What are you doing?" I ask him.

"Well I thought I was watching you sleep but apparently not." He replies and I shake my head at him before realising just how hungry I am. I look outside and notice that it is right on the dot of lunch time.

"Lets go get some food." I suggest and he nods before we make our way downstairs and to the kitchen where there is chatter galore.

"So I was thinking, we could go for a quick run in the maze after lunch. What do you think?" Minho asks me and I nod as I grab a sandwich from the bench and make my way to our usual table with Newt and Alby.

"Well you guys look more alert to the world." Newt snarks and I throw a piece of lettuce which he catches in his mouth. Just my luck.

"Yep. Feeling much better. Thanks Alby." I say to Alby and he nods. "Minho and I were wondering if we could have a quick run in the maze today?" I ask Alby and he looks at me suspiciously.

"This wouldn't have anything to do with a new arrival today would it?" Alby asks me and I fake shock.

"Actually this was Minho's idea. I just went with it." I answer and he laughs but gives his approval of the plan.

"Sure but don't think you've gotten out of it." I pout but nod my head, happy that we still get to go into the maze.

Once lunch was finished, Minho and I grab our packs and run to the entrance of the maze before disappearing around a corner. We decided that we would both run my section today as Alby, no doubt, put other runners in Minho's section for the day. We make our way through the complicated twists and turns that we know like the back of our hand. Running this place for 2 years grows on you apparently.

The section, as usual held no surprises and gave us no hints as how to leave but we decided to head back after we heard the piercing scream of a griever. As much as it's day time, they can still wander around. I should know, I've seen a few. But, as we round a corner, we almost run into one and their shrill seems louder when you're face to face with it. I stood, frozen in fear. I stands on its back legs and Minho grabs my arms then pulls me along. Then my brain decided to work.

I run as fast as possible, taking twists and turns, the long way to the Glade just to try and shake this griever but it wasn't giving up the chase. As we approach a turn, I slow down which allowed it to cut my side. Deep. I scream in pain and try to keep running but the pain was too much to bear and I collapse against the wall and hope to dear God that I haven't been stung. The griever, seemingly satisfied, runs off, ready for its nightly adventure.

Minho stops and turns around as he hears me and scream and runs toward me, a look of worry on his face. I look up at him, feeling weak.

"Hey, you'll be OK. It's only a scratch." He tries to assure me and I can't help but laugh in agony.

"Scratch my ass." I remark and he smiles before picking me up and running as fast as he could to the doors of the maze. We had already lost significant time and the walls were about to start closing. But I never saw when we get there because I am enveloped in darkness.
