Kokichi found himself at Kaito Momota's smoothie bar after running away from an angry Maki. He concocted "space-themed" smoothies with bizarre ingredients like glitter and Pop Rocks, and encouraged customers to "blast off" as they sipped. Surprisingly, Kaito, who was initially skeptical of Kokichi's chaotic presence, found it strangely endearing and let him stay. But Kokichi ran for the hills at the thought of spending time with Kaito. Soon after, Kaito Momota's smoothie bar, once a haven of chaos courtesy of Kokichi, had to be shut down after the health department found several health violations. His permits were revoked, leaving Kaito jobless and scratching his head at the irony of the situation.
