Izuku

I saw as the butterflies painted a night sky across Paris.

I had always been one to be optimistic. I never turned down a challenge.

I was here after all.

But I couldn't find words to explain the tight feeling that had grasped every inch of my soul.

It's like this was the first time I was experiencing reality.

The first time I realized that maybe...

Everything wasn't okay.

That maybe...

Just maybe...

Heroes didn't always win.

Marinette was yelling something at Bakugo. I vaguely heard her say something about the other miraculous. I figured she was going to give them out for more help.

Todorki was trying his best to freeze all of the butterflies.

I knew it was because he found that as a more humane way to deal with the problem, while Kacchan on the other hand was frying the things alive.

My body moved with muscle memory. But it just felt like all the passion and hope I had for victory was slowly fading as I saw for every butterfly we killed, a seeming twenty more appeared.

And it didn't help that some of my worlds greatest villains were here too.

It made it so much harder to protect the people of this smaller, weaker, helpless world.

I didn't understand why I felt this way.

I was always up for a challenge.

"Izuku! We have to fight! You CAN'T give up!"

I look over at Bakugo who is yelling at me.

He could tell? Was it that obvious I was hopeless.

"LOOK OUT-"

I quickly rolled to the ground as searing blue flames whooshed pass me.

I quickly got up and lunged at the one who had sent those flames.

The heat that came off of his body was almost as hot as one of Bakugos explosions.

I felt a surge of motivation hit as my fist connected with Dabi's marred face.

The world around me was falling apart. I was too consumed with my fight with Dabi to pay attention to the swarm of butterflies.

What had snapped me out of it was a sharp and blunt blow to my side that threw me across the rooftop.

I looked up to see Adrien adorned in a white Cat costume.

My focus shifted to him now as I slightly noticed Bakugo chasing after the sadistic Todoroki family member.

I silently prayed Marinette would be here soon because I knew she'd be the only one who could talk Adrien out of this.

"Adrien! Don't do this! It won't end well!" I pleaded.

My words were empty to him as he lunged forward flinging me back to the ground.

Out of the corner of my eye I noticed a flash of red.

"You ruined everything you know? You brought this one all of us. YOU collided our worlds." Adrien hissed.

His grip moved from my arms to my throat.

He used his legs to pin me down as I slowly fought for breath.

Todoroki sent a blast of fire towards the akumatized Cat Noir but Dabi had escaped Bakugo and stood in the flames.
