Chapter 3: Meeting and Reunion

Brinley’s POV

Right after I heard what Xylo said, my eyes widened in shock.

“Wait, I have another brother?!” I shouted in shock which made Tommy flinch as he hid behind Karl and I could see him start to shake. I looked at him in worry as Karl held him gently.

“Hey it’s okay, she didn’t mean to shout” he said, making my eyes soften before slowly walking over to them.

“I’m sorry for shouting. I didn’t know that I have another brother other than Bryan” I said, making him look at me with tears in his eyes.

“I-It’s okay. S-Sorry for r-reacting like t-that,” he said while stuttering as Karl held his shoulder gently. I looked at him then at his arms and body which was covered in bandages.

"Can I hold you, Tommy?" I asked him softly. He looked at me before looking at Karl who nodded his head with a small smile. He then turned back to me before nodding his head which made me smile before gently wrapping my arms around him. I could feel him relax as he leaned his head on me.

“W-What happened to him?” I asked softly.

“I would also like to know. As far as I know, someone his age isn’t supposed to have that amount of bandages on him” Cal said as he stood next to me. Tommy held onto Karl’s arm as he looked down.

“I think we should wait for Ricarro and Momiji to come back with the others so we don’t keep on repeating the story” Xylo suggested.

“Oh, the two of them are back?” Cal asked, making Karl nod.

“Yeah, I actually ran into them in a village that the both of us briefly stayed in. We came here together with them and they know about what happened to Tommy” he said, making me look at my younger brother who was playing with Karl’s hand.

“Wait, who else are you guys waiting for?” I asked them.

“Bryan and Tenshi,” Karl said, making me look at him then at Xylo. Cal seems to be confused as well.

“I can understand Bryan since he is his brother but why Tenshi?” he asked.

“H-He’s my P-Papa” he said in a soft voice but we still heard it.

“Huh?!” Cal said in shock.

“It’s true. He’s Tenshi’s son making him a descendant of Izanagi-no-Mikoto and a member of the Asian pantheon” Karl said as he looked at us.

“Tenshi did say that he has a son but I did not expect that he had one with my mom. He has a lot of explaining to do” I said while huffing a little.

“I-Is it b-bad for him and m-mom to have a-a child t-together?” Tommy asked as he looked at me.

“It isn’t. He never really told us what pantheon you were in so we just thought that your mother was a mortal” Xylo said before we heard footsteps coming closer to the room. The door then opened, showing Tenshi who’s eyes looked towards Tommy who was looking at him with wide eyes.

“Tommy” he said which made Tommy’s eyes slowly form tears.

“P-Papa” Tommy said, making Tenshi rush towards him before holding him in his arms.

“It really is you” he said which made Tommy shakily wrap his arms around him.

“Tenshi be careful, he’s still injured” I said, making him let go of Tommy before looking at his bandaged arms.

“What happened?” he asked, making Tommy look down.

“Let’s wait for Bryan to get here first. There’s a lot to tell you guys and it would be better than repeating everything. And it would give Tommy some time to sort out his emotions at the moment” Karl said as Tenshi looked at him then at Tommy.
