Ch.8

                          -Shinazugawa Pov-
Me and the kid where visiting Tomioka again, Kocho had said he might be in there for atleast another 3 weeks to a month. I was both maddened and grateful for this news.

Gratefull Tomioka was okay, with nothing to serious, and mad since that means I would be stuck with this damn kid for longer! Seriously what a nuisance...

I looked over at Tomioka, who had Kukichi sleeping in his lap. He was lightly caressing her head, never thought Tomioka would be so soft with someone. I heard someone knock on the door, I looked over at the door and saw that damn Kamado kid come in.

He was holding some food, I could see his eyes glance towards me, then to Tomioka. "Giyuu!" He said while running over to the side of his bed. Hearing the Kamado kid call Tomioka by his given name didn't feel right. I almost felt jealous?

Almost instantly I could hear the kid asking Tomioka what seemed like a million questions.

I decided it would be best if I left, just so I wouldn't murder the Kamado kid.

Although, I couldn't bring myself to leave the building completely, firstly, Kukichi was still in there, and I just wanted to hear a little bit of what Tomioka and the Kamado kid talk about. I pressed my ear against the door.

"Yes, Tanjiro, I'm okay." "Oh okay good! That was my most important question, but who's the kid? And why was Shinazugawa here?"

I heard Tomioka mumble something, I couldn't make out what he was mumbling.

Eventually Tomioka began speaking, this time I could hear what he was saying.

"Shinazugawa and I had a mission together a few weeks ago, and during the mission we found her." "Oh...so are you and Shinazugawa closer now? Since he was visiting you?"

There was a pause of silence, before I heard Tomioka speak up again.

"I'm quite sure the only reason he was here was because of the kid, so I suppose he still hates me."

Do I still hate him?

-Tomioka Pov-
I was caressing Kukichis head while answering all of Tanjiros questions, which was a lot.

He had mostly questions about my health, Kukichi, and every now and then Shinazugawa. I didn't even know how to answer most of his questions, and i'm sure that Tanjiro could tell, as he would move onto the next question.

After a short while Tanjiro eventually left, and not long after he was gone Shinazugawa came to the room. He seemed to have a lot on his mind, he looked distracted and dazed out. "You're still here?" I asked him.

"Yeah, what did you think I was just gonna leave the kid here?" He said in a sarcastic tone, rolling his eyes at the end of the sentence. I sighed, before responding, "Of course not," Shinazugawa scoffed, while going to sit on the chair next to my bed.

"...Do you think I hate you...?" Shinazugawa asked in a quiet voice, barely audible. I didn't know if I heard him right, especially since he would never ask anything like that. "Apologies, I missed your question, can you repeat it Shinazugawa?"

The second he heard that he immediately stood up from his chair, "I said your an annoying bastard!!" He kept repeating "annoying bastard" or "emotionless freak" he's lucky Tanjiro isn't anywhere close to us.

All his yelling woke Kukichi up, and I remembered Kukichi said something about her parents always fighting before. I immediately put my hands over her ears, to try and block the noise s little bit.

And Kukichi did the same, she looked like she was going to burst into tears. Shinazugawa must have noticed this too, as he stopped yelling. "Kukichi...? Are you okay?" He asked, a glint of worry in his eyes. "L...loud..." She in between sniffles, "Fi..fight...ing" Her small voice said.

I took my hands off her ears, and lightly hugged her, gently rubbing her back. Repeating "It's okay..." In a almost silent whisper. I glanced at Shinazugawa, and was incredibly surprised when I saw he had a look of guilt.
