Chapter 5: That Evening

[No one's point of view]

   After Y/n went back home, the Komi family had dinner together. Shousuke is staring off into space while everyone else eats in silence. Well, except for Mrs. Komi. She's talking about her trip to the store. Somehow, she made it sound kind of interesting. She asked Mr. Komi about his day and Shouko about hers. Both had a great day.
   Mrs. Komi: "How was your first day, Shousuke?" Mrs. Komi asked.
   They all turn to face Shousuke. He's in his own little world. He exuded a happy, flowery aura, and the edge of his lips were upturned just slightly. They all looked at him for a few seconds.
   Mrs. Komi: "Well I guess that answers that then! I'm glad to see that Shousuke had such a great day!"

[Shousuke's point of view]

   Mrs. Komi: "...m glad to see that Shousuke had such a great day!"
   Shousuke: "Hmm?" I responded.
   Shouko: "Mmmn!" Shouko smiled, nodding vigorously.
   Dad nodded as well.
   What's going on? Why is everyone looking at me?! I huff, starting to eat. I quickly finish and take care of my plate. I grab a towel for my bath. I look back at the table as I pass through the entryway. Mom and Dad are beaming and Shouko gives me a smirk. What a bother. I huff again as I walk to the bathroom. What was that all about?

~Intermission (Author-san: No bath scenes, thank you.)~

   That felt nice. I sigh contentedly as I step out of the bathroom. It looks like everyone's watching a movie. I guess I'll see what it's about. I walk over and sit next to Shouko on the right side of the couch.

[Shouko's point of view]

   Shousuke walked over and sat next to me. I look over at him for a second, then turn my attention back to the movie.

~Timeskip 10 minutes~

   In the corner of my eye I see movement. I look over. Shousuke's trying to stay awake. His head is bobbing up and down. Finally, he's asleep. I wish Y/n could see this. I grab my phone and take a sneaky picture. I can't help but smirk as I send it to Y/n.

~Timeskip to the end of the movie~

[Mrs. Komi's point of view]

   Mrs. Komi: "Kids! Time for bed now!" I say. I turn to see a shushing Shouko and a sleeping Shousuke. How precious!  "Shouko, can you wake him up for me and get him to his room?"
   She nods eagerly.

[Shouko's point of view]

   I gently shake him awake.
   Shousuke: "Mmmn?" says a sleepy Shousuke. It takes him a second to understand that we're going to bed. "Mmmn."
   He stands and starts to sway. He starts walking... in the wrong direction. I guide him gently to his room and he stops, just staring at his door. He looks like he could fall asleep standing up. I open the door and guide him to his bed. He climbed in and went right to sleep. I turn around to see Mom at the door, phone in hand.
   Mrs. Komi: "I couldn't help but take a video. I'll send it to Y/n."
