Case Name - Your Pretty Face
High school parties were so overrated. I mean, you have a bunch of 16-18 year olds who were able to get into their parents' liquor cabinet or find an older friend to get the alcohol for them. Then you have the drugs - shrooms, acid, LSD and weed. Which I can't say much, I've smoked weed plenty of times just to get through these parties.
But after you've went to pretty much every single one since you started high school it gets boring. It's the same ol shit. Music. Alcohol. Drugs. And sometimes sex. I mean... I could get all that at the club in a different city where no one knows me. And yet I still found myself at one of these parties. In a way these were small parties that got younger teens in the door of popularity. Freshmen and Sophomores who were dared or coerced into throwing parties end up being lackeys until the seniors graduate.
But that didn't stop any of the freshmen and sophomores from filling up the house and grinding on each other as Applause by Lady Gaga played. Well, at least the music taste was good.
And you're probably asking me why I'm even here if I'm going to complain about them. Well, to answer your unasked question. Hayley Dole. She's been a family friend of mine for years and she wanted to get some extra brownie points with some of the popular girls. So they suggested she throw a party the next time her parents were away. So, as my friend, I'm here to support her.
"This party sucks, huh?" Hayley had asked once she came to stand next to me.
I tip my head back to drink my water that I told everyone else was vodka. Ain't no way was I getting drunk tonight.
"Not gonna lie Hay-Hay. It does."
She laughs and then smacks my arm. "Rude."
I flinch away with a smile before shrugging. "Not gonna sugar coat it babe."
Hayley sighs but knows I'm right. Hell she didn't even need to ask because she knew it was shit. The girls that told her to throw the party didn't even show after all. It was humiliating but at the end of the night, Hayley would gain the popularity with her fellow classmates and upperclassmen as time went on.
"Y/n!"
Hayley and I glanced over when one of the hockey players came running up to me. I lift my drink to my lips and raise a brow at them while they try to catch their breath.
"You need to stop them." He said in between breaths.
I lick the drop of water off my top lip and look around the party. "Stop who?"
Hayley and I shared a quick look of confusion.
"Taron, what's going on?" She asked.
"The pool, outside." He said as his breathing started to get better. "Some of the junior hockey players are trying to throw someone into the pool."
"The pool is off limits, I told them that!" Hayley growled.
It had to have been a prank. "As a prank, right?" I ask.
"No." He shook his head then looked between Hayley and myself. "The girl looks scared."
That's all I needed to hear. "Show me."
~~
"Let go of me!" A girl cried.
Two hockey players, who were quite big, twice the size of the girl they were currently dragging to the edge of the pool. Held the girl by the arms.
