I looked to Shoto. "Shall we watch the first few matches then plane."
"Yeah, that's a good plan." I looked up, watching. Cementoss vs Jiro and Tokayami, they where playing in smart, staying in the shadows. It was perfect, considering the two where amazing at combat. I hummed.
"Weaknesses." I bit my lip. I looked at Shoto. "We should go over those first." He nodded.
"Good idea." We walked out the room, leaving Ochaco, Ojiro, and Iida. We sat down.
"Alright, weaknesses. Let's first go over Mr. Aizawa's."
"Alright."
"His quirk is Eraser, by looking, well more like staring, at someone he erases their quirk, the limitation is how long he can keep his eyes open. The moment he blinks is the moment he stops erasing their quirk."
"That won't work on you. Your quirkless."
"That's right, so we can assume that you're the one he'll be more concentrated on because of your quirk."
"But you have more experience then most pros."
"True, and he knows that." I pinched my lip. "Let's think about this. When it comes to quirk training and stuff, you and Kat got everyone bested. Your control is amazing, but you still struggle with your flames right?"
"Yes, I'm better with my ice."
"Mister Aizawa will know that." I smiled. "But he won't know about the training." He shivered.
"That was hell." I smiled at him.
"Use your fire right now. Try to shape it into something simple. Like a circle or fire ball." He stared at me. Confused. But he did so, his jaw dropped as he succeeded.
"That's why you made me draw as well."
"Yes. You need to learn to make shapes with you powers."
"Your so smart." Yeah. I just hope I don't miscalculate. I pursed my lips.
"You still can't use both, best to stick with ice at first, then take him by surprise. Make a sword out of fire real quick, make it float." He did just that.
"Wow. I never thought."
"Think outside the box!" Plans began to run through my mind. "We'll need to be quick." My eyes closed. "Think fast, act without hesitation, no mistakes." Mistakes are bad. One wrong move and we fail. I began to fidget with my braided piece of hair.A hundred different plans ran threw my mind, "Got one. This one's the best one with the highest possibility of success."
"Then let's hear it." I told him my plan. The first thing we did was go to Momo. She made a copy of my earpiece and gave it to Shoto, quickly we connected it. I looked at him. "I stay high, you stay low, if we leave the 'villain' to run rampant someone, civilians, will get hurt. So I need you to run to the exit, Mr. Aizawa can not erase my abilities, meaning I'll be at the advantage," hopefully. "I'll need you to run to get back up."
"Like with Stain?"
"Yes, like Stain." His eyes moved to the area I had been empaled. "Without the weapons." I sweat dropped. We stared at the gate.
"Team Todoroki and Midoriya. Practical exam. Ready. Go."I ran across roofs and wiring. We where in a big time city, I pressed the ear piece. "Report."
"No sight of Aizawa, I'm not far from the exit either."
"Stay on edge, don't move until we locate Mr. Aizawa."
"Alright."
"Be careful Shoto."
"You to Zumi." I swung to the next roof. I need to update my costume. I stopped spotting Mr. Aizawa.
"Spot him." I lunged forward. "Go now!"
"On it!" Mr. Aizawa is strong, he may catch on with my plan. I moved, jumping over Aizawa and taking off.
"Show no hesitation Shoto! Go!" He knows to now ignore me unless I cuss. Mr. Aizawa took off racing after me. I smirked internally, I began running faster. Twisting around I smirked as I drew my twin guns. I fired at him. He dodged. Good. Then, he kept running. "Shit! He caught on! So quickly!" I began to chase after him. Throughing my weapons at him, trying to slow him down. "Shoto he's onto us!"
"I'm running! Getting close!"
"Good! Don't stop! No matter what!"
"Yes ma'am." I lunged forward. That was a big mistake. I got caught in his capture weapon. No! I've made a mistake! Shit! I began to panic. Plan I need a plan. Think Izumiko. Think. "Shoto how far are you!"
"Still a ways a way!" Shit! I instantly began to struggle. Think Izumiko! Think! Nonono that won't work. Dammit!
"That's your weakness." My head snapped up to my teacher.
"What..." he stopped looking at me.
"The moment you make a mistake. The moment you miss calculate. You panic. You freak out. You second guess every single choice you make." Edgeshot said the same thing....
"What are you getting at?"
"It's not like it's your fault. It was pounded into you." He stared at me. "Those tests pounded that into you." The tests! That's it! I got it! Keep running Shoto! I'll distract him!
"What are you talking about." He sighed. That's it. Perfect.
"I'm getting closer!"
"The tests made it so you think mistakes are bad."
"I'm almost there."
"They are bad."
"Not all mistakes are bad. To you Midoriya."
"Zumi." I corrected. He sighed.
"To you Zumi, mistakes mean death. You fear mistakes."
"I'm almost there!"
"So."
"That fear drilled into you made it so that wh-"
"Todoroki Shoto passed the gates! Hero team wins!" Aizawa's eyes widened. Then he looked at me. I smiled. Then I began to laugh and cry at the same time.
"Oh god. That actually worked. I didn't think that'd work, I was winging it. That worked, that worked." I sighed. Now I'm questioning everything! I tilted my head. My whole.e world has been shifted upside down. How can mistakes be good? I thought back to the tests. When all they've done was get me injured or killed. I was still hanging. "I hated this test." I whined.
