When i found you

first day (lucas POV)

A/N 

I just want to say that this is the first book i've ever (seriously) written and i'll give it my best shot as post as frequency as i  can. Enjoy!  

I slowly wake up, just to find something wet licking my face! "For fuck's sake's David don't do that!" I named him after David Bowie. my American fox hound jumped happily of my bed already running down the stares when i started walking towards the shower. I like my coffee how i like my showers, hot. I get in the shower en feel my body relax under the hot water. while i'm standing in my shower letting the steaming water fall over me, i hear my mom yell that i need to go to school unless i wanted to be late! i've never been late before and i'm sure as hell not gonna start on my first day of senior year. So i hurridly get out of the shower to get dressed,  a nice white long sleeve with some blue oversized jeans and my nike's, i look in the mirror and quickly do some product in my hair so that i won't look like a lion (no offence if you do or anything). 

I didn't want to be late and my dad knew that, so he told my i could use his car instead of taking the bus (biking would ruin my clothes). It was a white Peugot 208 but i didn't really care for cars, my obsession was reading, at my old school they called me a nerd for liking books so i think i'm gonna keep this obsession a secret for now.

Once i arrive at school i can feel eyes on me, i was used to it but hopefully thats just my anxiety speaking. a girl i assume is from the same grade as i am in aprauches me. she has hazel brown hair that is put up in a messy bun, she has a nicely fitted collerfull striped shirt on and she wears baggy jeans that are rolled up at the bottem with converse. " Hi, nice to meet you i'm Clara. Your the new kid right?" Great i didn't want to be alone on my first day, i probably looked lost before she talked to me "I'm supposed to give you a tour of the school so you wont get lost." Clara said."Yes i suppose thats me, hi i'm Lucas" I say as i stretch out my hand for a handshake. Clara answered my handshake with "Don't be so formal were gonna be together for at least the hole day." Before she gave me a kind hug.

Once she gave me a tour and i finished my first and second class wish i was in with Clara it was time for lunch. i've been dreading this hour the hole day. Where am i going to sit? will someone even allow me to sit with them? What am i going to do? 

" Hey Lucas!" I hear someone call, i look around to see if that someone was actually talking to me or not, but then i spotted Clara and some other guy standing to the wall right before door to the cafeteria. Completely faking my confidence as i walked towards them, i started a conversation with them and i learned that the boy's name was Daniel. he was about 6 foot 2 and was quite build for his age which i learned was 17, his birthday was last week. He had dark brown eyes and matching brown hair, he was wearing a red crop top and oversized black jeans with vans.

"Hey you good?" Daniel asked me, i must have zoned out while staring at him. He was wearing a crop top as a male and no one seemed to give a shit. back in my home town he would probably be called all kinds of names. "Yeah, i'm fine, i just zoned out for a minute" That wasn't a lie, but i didn't want them to think i was homophobisch because i wasn't. lying is so much easier when it's partly truth, like when i used to go to my girlfriend but i told my parents that i was with Jason (an old friend of mine) so before i went to my girlfriend i went for about ten minutes at Jason's first. 

" OK cool" Daniel says " Wanna come sit with us at lunch or do already have plans?"

"I actually do now a few people that go to this school but i rather sit with you guys it thats alright" Thats true i do know some people that go to Creastfew high, but i don't think they want enything to do with me after the incident.

"Yeah other wise i wouldn't have asked" Daniel said with a smile.

Since Daniel and Clara invited me to sit with them at lunch i walked with them to there table where there were already two people sitting. "Hey guys, this is Lucas he just moved here." Clara said enthusiastically as she sat down. "Lucas these losers are Finley and Tara"

"Hey!" "Oi" They said at the same time.

"hey guys." I answered cooly 

When we sit down de conversation starts flowing. Tara's already talking about prom even tho that's still months away, Finley was just eating while listening an some times nodding when he agreed with Tara, it felt like Daniel was always watching me, every time i looked in his direction his dark brown eyes where already looking right at me. Creepy. Clara was dropping comments on Tara's story's here and there, now i wasn't really listening to it until i heard Tara say something "What about that gay dude then? I think his name was Josh or something." 

"What are you talking about?" I ask.

"O well there's this guy Daniel likes but when Daniel asked the guy out he said no so now he's looking for a rebound"

"You can't have a rebound for some one you weren't even dating" Clara say's dryly

" Anyway so there is this guy named josh who's really cute and we know he's gay, so why not try to flirt with the guy to get over some one else? You agree with me right Finley?"

"I geas?" Finley said but it sounded more like a question

"I could give it a try, ask him out and go to a bar we'l see how it go's" Daniel answered honestly

I have to know, i hope it wont get awkward... " Hope you don't mind me asking but you'r into guys? Or is josh a girl?" Shit! That was totally awkward of course Josh isn't a girl, you idiot!

They all laughed and then Daniel answered " Yes, i'm a homosexsual. Don't worry i'm not gonna hit on you." he  playfully ads. I just look down embarest, why did i say that? luckily they laughed and didn't seem to give it a second thought.

"Do you guys wanna go to the mall later? I still need those new paint and brushes i saw the other day when i didn't have the money." Clara say's

"I'm down" Daniel replied."Yeah me to!" Tara added. Finley couldn't come cause he had to watch his brothers, he mention't they were twins so it must be a hand full.

"Wanna come to Lucas?" Clara looked at me "It's gonna be fun!"

So i agreed. I'm just so relived that people are nice to me, i have new hope that this school isn't gonna be so bad as i thought.

Thanks for reading the first chapter of When i find you. This is my first book and it still needs editing, but i'm lazy and forget to do it or don't have the motivation. I will get the grammar mistakes out later tho. I plan on making the chapters longer as i write this but for now it's gonna be around 1k, 2k an 3k.
