A toxic punishment

After getting a well deserved rest, I grabbed my sword and set it on my back. Before I left, I quickly drink a bottle of blood and cooked myself something to eat. The best thing I can cook is some eggs since years ago, I would see people cook from time to time and slowly learn from it myself. I set my food and drink down on the table and take my time eating the food I just made. Sure it's not the best since I'm still trying to learn but every time when I cook something, it'll slowly get better. I head to the bathroom to wash my face, head to my room to put on a mask and left my apartment to start my day.

I make my way to the main area of the world and simple walk up to the holographic stand of Acid and waited, hoping something would pop up. Then I see the stand lit up and I see a holographic version of the professor just staring at me. I take a step back as it somewhat startled me. My eyes widen from the sudden appearance. After I noticed what I am looking at, I take a look at him. He doesn't look like that healthy, always feeling sick for some reason. I also noticed something about him, he is always carrying a bottle of something to drink. Maybe he's dehydrated but that doesn't seem be the case here. From what he looks like, he was carrying a bottle of what seems to be acid since at the middle of the bottle have a skull on it.

"Sorry, something is sick to my stomach and whenever I head to the hospital, it doesn't help at all."

I just stay silent as I let him continue speaking. Most of the time I would hear him belch every now and then which would be annoying every now and then also.

"Anyways, you happen to be new here or you just finished Lighting! Yaaaay...I'm Ace, or Acerbic. A professor, a drunk one to teach you all about Acid just so we can get this over with."

He just keeps on belching, every now and then he would vomit. I feel disgusted, I feel sorry for those who just take a look at Ace just trying to say anything at least. One of the main things I asked myself is how is he not fired yet is probably a question I can't even ask myself.

"Anyways since I know you didn't train the magic at all, get yourself back at Cloud to train Acid till you can train here. When you get to here, train at the first training area."

The hologram went away and I just stand there trying to process everything that happened. I walk back to the Hypership and head back to Cloud. The Hypership lands on the docks and I walk out from the ship and walk over to the end of the Safe Zone. I noticed a lot of people was waiting outside of the safe zone and I move ahead of the crowd and check to see what is happening.

Another Void Cyber was captured in front of the safe zone, completely beaten up. A magic barrier is keeping it in place. No one is there to keep a eye on it and everyone is backed away, some was having their staff out ready to attack it if it ever breaks free. I was a bit ahead of the crowd and nearby the Void Cyber. I step back with the crowd, wondering what to do.

So, how did this happen? -I ask someone.

"Well, this Void Cyber was hiding from the world and we noticed it was nearby the safe zone, probably to gain information about us." -Rotie explains to me.

Carry on. -I said to him.

"So, one of us had to use our magic to keep it in place until a teacher comes by and put them in a bunker for information." -Rotie said to me. Everyone was a bit confused about it and some was scared about it.

I walk back to the Void Cyber and it just looks up at me and I just stare at him.

I don't take you lightly considering what you guys did to my eye there. So let's make this quick and you'll explain to me why are you here. -I said to it.

It didn't even try to budge at all. I just continue looking at it. Everyone just looks at us, wondering what am I gonna do. I just waited till a professor comes by. Finally, Violet and Tempest comes by and have their staffs out, moving the Void Cyber away from us and onto a bunker somewhere else. We all just stand there and after a bit, resume to what we're we doing before. I walk around till I see Violet and Tempest walking inside a bunker nearby a waterfall. I walk pass them and head to a waterfall and I see a bunch of toxic barrels, as soon as I was head over there, I grabbed my staff and i quickly noticed that my hand was a bit green in a way. I guess it was reminding me that I using Acid as a magic now. Finally I got to work, it took about a few days to train until I finally got up to the forth training area. When I finally managed to finished training, I felt a bit exhausted. I noticed at the back of my mind that I needed to find information about that Void Cyber. I head back to the bunker Violet and Tempest was bringing it at and I opened it up and head inside.

When I head inside, it was dark like normally. I summoned a small bit of fire to look around to see where the Void Cyber is at and I see it, barely holding on to life. It was broken, bruised and i don't see blood on it at all. I noticed something was getting onto my face after a bit of waiting and seeing it.

"FINALLY! We can actually see you!" -Zara says to me.

What the...Zara? -I said to her.

"Yeah, we've been trying to figure out how we can see you. As soon as you went to Haven, we couldn't see you at all." -Zara said to me.

Well that explains why I haven't heard anything from you two. -I said to her.

"Also, why can't I see anything Jayla? Did something happen to you?" -Zara asks me.

Yeah, someone stabbed my eye and I had to rip it out. Too bad I can't heal that eye anymore. -I said to her.

"Okay, wow. Anyways, who the hell is that in-front of you?" -Zara asks me.

A Void Cyber. From what I heard when I got back, it was already beaten up after trying to get information about the safe zone. -I said to her.

"Damn. Anyways, I'm gonna head out now, letting Azure know we can see you." -Zara says to me.

I can feel her face slowly going away from me and I walk up to the Void Cyber and wake it up. It quickly got up and look straight at me.

Now then, we are gonna talk now. -I said to him while grabbing my axe. I see it shaking their head over and over again.

I point my axe at it, the tip of it was pointing directly at it's head and I can tell it is feeling fear.

I know I'm not involved in it but since somehow you are alive, you are only alive to hand information to me and that's it. So, you better cooperate. -I said to it.

It's head was down before lifting it's head up to see me.

First question before we start this discussion, are you able to speak English at all? -I ask it.

They shake their head and I quickly noticed it doesn't talk at all.

So, you can't speak at all? -I ask it.

It nods at me. So I noticed the Void Cyber can understand English, but it can't speak English, or talk at all. After a bit of what should I do with it, I feel like there is a silhouette watching me. I turn my head around to see Azure looking at me. She walks up to the Void Cyber and pulls out a orb, allowing it to summon up a screen of some sort. I saw that the screen has a bit of a translation on it.

"I know what language you can speak. Binary?" -Azure says to it.

The Void Cyber was saying something and the language it can speak is showing up on the screen of the orb Azure is holding.

Yes. I can understand English. That woman behind you was planning on killing me, wasn't she?

"She was, if you don't corporate. The killing part is on her if she feels satisfied with what you are gonna say. Since you can understand English, she's gonna do the questioning. Do you understand it?" -Azure says to it.

I understand. I'm gonna die aren't I?

Well you're gonna be if you don't say my questions. Get ready to start answering them. -I said to it.
