Endurance

I arrived with no issues while my chest is basically back to normal. A lot more people is at the Safe Zone just chilling around but there was one thing I am noticing about some of the students, some of their staffs are different. The staffs are a bit bigger then normal and they have their own icons on there. I didn't mind too much and walk around the safe zone to find Terra waiting for me.

So, I saw the hologram back at Haven telling me to head back here. What was that about? -I asked her. She stares at me for a moment and have her arms behind her back.

"You're ready. Follow me and don't ask any questions." -She says. I was confused but I followed her to a different area. The place feels much more quiet then at the city. There is rocks all around the place. It's almost like she made this area herself. "Here is where you can test and prove to me you are finally done with Earth. This is a endurance test. All you have to do is not fail this test. So, are you ready?" -She asks me.

I walk over to the middle of the area and just take a deep breath. I sit down and have my eyes closed. 'I'm ready.' -I tell her. I didn't hear her leave and all I start to here is rumbling. Some rocks start to get send flying towards me and I summon in some rocks to break the rocks that was send flying. The ground around me slowly start to break apart and slowly start moving around and away from me and I just sit there, doing nothing. Some of the rocks would get send flying past me and hit the back of my ponytail from time to time. Rock walls would try and crush me in hopes I would move, and yet I just stay right where I'm at. The rocks I would slowly sit at would move closer to me to keep itself back together.

This would happen from time to time and it feels like the test would have went on much longer then it normally have. Eventually some of the rocks would slowly start to form around my body but leave my head be. After some more rocks moving towards me and away from me for a bit, the test was finally over. Some of the rocks fell away from me and other have landed in the water. I finally opened my eye and got up.

There was a lot of rocks all around me and small parts of the area was away from of the main area of this...place. I look at my hands and there was rocks around my hands, my entire body was encased in rocks, some spikes is on the armor. I walk away from the area and I find Terra waiting for me yet again. She looks at me and smiles.

"Well you are done. The armor you are wearing is Earth armor. It's to protect you from attacks but you will swim slower and you will move a bit slower. This also means if you take the armor off or if it breaks, you can't make another one until tomorrow." -She explains.

So that is it? -I asked.

"You have nothing to do. I can't teach you anymore. But you might have noticed some of the students here have a different staff. Well I can't tell you about it and the students aren't allowed to say anything. We have to wait until Professor Marm have anything to say about it. For now, rest." -She says to me.

I take off the armor and I make my way back to the Safe Zone. More and more people are having this new staff and I'm still wondering about it. I would ask but Terra did said I can't say anything about it. Before I make my way to the hyperships, I walk around Cloud for a bit to finally take a nice view at the area around me. Eventually I make my way to a waterfall and sat down to hear the sounds of water splashing to the side of my ear. It sounds really calm and relaxing. As I would hear the water splashing around, I would hear someone walk by me. I would turn around to see KillJ and Nat walking up to me.

"Hey Jayla." -KillJ greeted.

Oh, hey there you two. Is your day doing alright? -I asked them.

"Yeah. Our day is okay. I noticed you are finally done with Earth. Congrats Jayla." -Nat tells me.

Thank you Nat. The test was something to say the least. -I said to them.

"So Jayla, having you noticed some sorcerers around the safe zone have different staffs? They are similar to each other." -Nat asked.

Yeah I did. Terra told me about it, telling me to prepare myself. Do you two what she means by it? -I asked them. The two of them look at each other and shrugged. I look at them both as they was confused themselves.

"Yeah we don't know. We wish we knew but when we asked, someone would say they can't say anything. It's feels like they can't say a single thing about it." -Nat says to me. I raised my eyebrow a bit.

What do you mean by this? -I asked

"Whenever we asked, they would say something about a generational change, but they don't say anything else. It feels like they are forced to say it." -Nat explains.

So...new magic? -I asked.

"Maybe. It can be possible since their staffs are different compared to ours." -KillJ says.

"Well we have to wait till Marm says anything about it. But for now, you are finally done with the magics, for now." -Nat says to me.

Yeah. Thankfully, I might probably rest for now. I'll be in my apartment at Haven for the time being. -I said to the siblings.

"You have a apartment?" -KillJ asked. I nod my head at him. "Since when?" -He asked again.

Since I head to Haven for the first time. I was able to rent one for the time being. -I said back to him. I got up and eventually left them behind to head back to Haven.

When I arrived, I head back to the apartment and finally head back to sleep. It is clear I deserved some sleep after what happened today.
