It should be clarified that Helaena Targaryen was not a suspect. But in the honor of not showing biases and doing throuogh research they had to talk to her.
"Hello helaena." Vaera purred.
"You mind if we ask you what happened? What you saw?" Tommen questioned
"A blast from the past." She answered her eyes drifting. Father and daughter shared a look that said it all.
"Have you been drinking as well?" Tommen questioned. Maybe it didnt say it all.
"Father!" Vaera objected. "Besides. It has been a rough day. So what if she has."
Helaena talked in riddles and rhymes it was a natural occurrence that one would be confused when talking with helaena.
"Right sorry. Whats a blast from the past?"
"The party." She answered.
"Shall we begin?" Davina sat a scroll and ink pen in her lap.
"Important details of the investigation?" Helaena questioned
"Doodles of Fury. No one has been helpful just yet." Davina countered. "What say you?"
"You invited them?" Alicent had shouted. "Viserys, after everything with Aemond-"
"Let bygones be bygones."
"Aemond lost an eye and you invited them back here, you didnt even think to tell me ahead of time?" Alicent countered.
"What good would that have done besides have this argument sooner?" Viserys countered. "You may turn your nose up at them when I'm dead in my grave." Alicent huffed a breath. "You think my minds not all in it but I remember that talk." Viserys chuckled before walking off. Alicent let out a mix between a grumble and a shout before composing herself and heading out. Helaena kept walking hearing larys and otto talking but she couldnt hear what they were saying she didnt think it important
"Then she saw me in the hall but she didnt really see me, or she wasnt listening," Helaena remarked. "You see I was trying to beg her not to let me marry Aegon but you know mother, she said I have bled and I must marry. But why him aunt Davina?"
"I will talk to your father, he can change that. You deserve better honey." Davina agreed.
"Thanks." Helaena whispered. Helaena was not the killer. But she was usually quite observant
"What happened next?' Davina encouraged.
"Oh, so I spent the next few hours before the party working on my log book, I'm logging all the plants in the garden. I'm writing down their species and drawing a picture- I brought it with." Helaena held out her notebook.
"These are beautiful Helaena." Davina remarked looking through it. "This is pretty whats this?"
"These were the flowers at the party," Helaena remarked. "Larkspur; delphinium. Pretty right?" it was a purple and blue flower, deep dark black insides.
"Pretty." Davina agreed.
"It's poisoness." Helaena remarked off handedly.
"Most pretty things are." Davina agreed. "Wait at the party? What other flowers were inside at the party?"
"Foxglove; digitalis." Helaena answered. "They are beautiful too." They were long purple flowers tube like pets with black and white pollenated centers. "side effects have been seen as drooling, vomiting, seizures- the maester learned about those when testing foxglove- dialted pupils and sometimes, death."
"Death." Tommen repeated.
"Larkspur causes weakness, drooling, abdominal pain, paralysis and even death as well. But Rhaenyra was stabbed." Helaena countered. "My flowers couldnt have-"
"No but they might have helped slow her down, so the killer could kill her without a struggle." Davina realized. "What do you remember next?"
" Well I went to the party and tried to avoid Aegon, he was really drunk and stumbling around. I spoke with Daeron and Vaera but mainly I danced with Aemond." Helaena admitted.
"You like him, he's a sweetie." Davina agreed. Helaena nodded. "Thats all the questions. Thanks Helaena."
As they headed off they heard her say
"What died never stayed dead."
