Tripitaka's POV
I awoke, not realizing I had fallen asleep...well ghosts don't usually need sleep but I had used up most of my energy looking back into the past.

Welp, guess it's time to go back to-

Tang?

Macaque's POV
Welp, that was easy...heh, all I needed was for him to get away for just a simple moment...

I wasn't expecting that Tang guy to be there...hell I wasn't expecting them to be friends, but it was a golden opportunity...

That day, when MK landed that hit on me, and we met at a bench, I wasn't expecting anything of him, sure he looked familiar and at that time I wouldn't have mistaken him for the Great Monk...but...

Now I'm not so sure...

When someone gets revived, usually the other could tell when they're undead, you could smell them like an awful stench, most demons usually get an off feeling about them. But Tang...?

I only sense Underworld residue once he came in contact with me...which isn't normal...

He's not a demon, I checked that out...he's purely human, a human who could harness the powers of the Golden Cicada but to be fair that Monk could also do that...and not much...

Believe me I have broken to every single record of him to see if he was actually an undead, and I'm starting to get suspicious...he has no record of him in any government or state, he has no record on him in the Cloud (Nearly had my tail for that one) and his only known story is that he showed up one day at the back of Pigsy's Noodles and became friends with the Pig and the Blue Guy...

Not much else...

So with this it would be a grand opportunity to study his...

His...

...

Where's his soul?!

Syntax's POV
"Finally that monk is letting us do something." Huntsman implied which scared me the most...that monk...he isn't normal...

So much hatred...! Just for one single monkey?!

"What does he want us to do?" Goliath asked, and I subtly regained composure, I must not let anyone know the dangers of who we're working with... "He wants us to retrieve his puppet back..."

"That puppet? The one he uses to speak?" Huntsman asked curiously. "He's been captured?"

"By someone called the Six-Eared Macaque..." I showed an image, it was the best angle I could take from my hidden camera at the Cloud, a black fured monkey with a dark red scarf running around the facility. "I'd be careful, legends of the Journey to the West have said that the Six-Eared Macaque could not be bested by Wukong without the help of the Buddha himself..."

"Right...where are we retrieving this puppet?" Huntsman asked, getting to the point. "In a local theater, involved in Shadow Play..."

Macaque's POV
"This doesn't make sense!" I yelled to myself, looking at the lantern and only seeing 2 glowing souls inside, and I know none of them are that...

That...!

"Where are you..." I said in frustration, I can still feel he's in there, but, there's nothing that tells me he IS there! That's not...natural..!

Unless...

"Reincarnation...?" I asked myself...someone with great control over the powers of the Great Monk...could he be...?

No...that shouldn't be possible...

First of all Wukong completed the Journey...second...reincarnation wouldn't give this effect...so why...?

I kept searching around the lantern, it's almost as if he doesn't want to be seen, my ears flutter all of a sudden and I dodge moving to the side, avoiding a spider leg being aimed at me...

3rd POV
The battle started, Syntax taking initiative as Huntsman and Goliath took offensive. Macaque was startled and caught off guard...especially since this is the only room he could afford!

He shadow portaled out of the scene, heading towards his dojo, before being chased by the Spiders...he realizes that Syntax had somehow placed a tracker on his chest without him realizing it...

"Hand over the lantern!" Syntax shouted, Macaque refused, playing cat and mouse except it was just Monkeys and Spiders.

'What's with these guys?' Macaque thought, and decided that this game had gone long enough, he can't give away that he was here in the city yet...but he can still teleport them back to the sewers...

Or maybe he didn't need to....

He uses the lantern and suddenly from the shadows emerged Pigsy, Mei and Tang.

The Spider Trio then paused, moving to defensive...the ones who actually knew how to fight  (Or at least Pigsy's tried to but got swung like a chew toy) went towards Huntsman and Goliath, with Pigsy having the guts to challenge Goliath...

The one that Macaque didn't expect to be fighting is Tang, fighting against Syntax as he slowly trembled in fear, Syntax kept going in defensive as Tang opposed him barely using his fists and only using his legs to battle...

Which was ironic since Syntax had like...6 legs...

Syntax continued to back up, struggling against Tang, he blocked one of his attacks with his arm, he was nearly disoriented. "Seriously?! Are you this useless in combat?!" Huntsman yelled, kicking Mei in the guts and rushing towards Syntax and attempting to punch Tang, to which he dodged successfully.

Tang continued to merely uses his legs in battle, which also gave Huntsman a hard time, Syntax tried to use that as a distraction but Tang dodged once more and caused him to accidentally stab Huntsman in the shoulder.

"Gah! Watch it!"

Pigsy was struck down now and Goliath rushed towards them, Tang jumped up into the air and kicked hard, causing him to stumble backward. "What the hell is this guy?!" Huntsman yelled. "We must retreat, we cannot succeed in this mission..."

The Spiders fled with Tang being the only one remaining, Macaque caused Pigsy and Mei to return to the lantern. Macaque stared at Tang, it was kinda strange...

He looked more carefully at the human...reincarnate...? Gah who cares?!

The human despite having hid himself inside the lantern, did not move...did not even retract...it was strange to him...

Macaque put him back in the lantern, his soul being visible then fading...

"What...are you...?" He asked in curiosity, but decided to leave it be...
