Title: Bond (Part 2)

I was in the middle of a volleyball semi-final match. I was the ace of the team and was needed to advance to the finals. Unfortunately, I wasn't in the best shape. Kageyama said he couldn't make it in time from his match. My brother couldn't come either, he was stuck at work. I guess you could say, I felt alone. I had jitters at the beginning of the match making me screw up quite a bit.

"Y/N!!" The setter, Akari, shouted my way. I jumped but it was too late. I missed. I landed on my butt, shaken up. "Hey, get up. It'll be fine," Akari said helping me up with an encouraging smile. "It's your serve. Good luck!" she said with a grin. I gave her a weak smile and went to the back of the court.

It was my 5th time serving. The last 4 didn't work out. I was such a disaster that my other teammates didn't even look me in the eye. The ones who did look my way gave me a disappointed stare. Akari was the only one who was there for me. 

"Hey look it's that trouble kid. She sucks, how is she a starter?"

"They must be short of people,"

"Hey try and get the ball to the other side of the net this time!!"

The crowd shouted. The opposing team snickered at their comments. 'Please do it right,' I thought to myself. I took a shaky breath waiting for the referee to give the signal.

"WHERE'S YOUR SMILE, IDIOT?!" I heard someone shout from the bleachers. I looked up to see Kageyama staring down at me with tears in his eyes. I teared up staring in shock. The whole Boys' VBC was there holding up banners.

"Y/N, I BELIEVE IN YOU!!" Hinata said. "YOU CAN DO IT!" Sugawara said. I smile tugged at my lips. My spirit lifted. 'How can I fail now, when so many people are counting on me? If I fail now, we'll definitely lose,' I thought as I raised the ball.

The whistle blew and I threw the ball up and jumped before whacking the ball with all my might. It landed on the other side of the court and the opposing team was unable to react in time.

"What a high jump!!"

"Such a strong serve!!"

"I'm pretty sure the ground has a dent,"

After that, I never messed up. I never gave up. I couldn't. Not with everyone rooting for me. Alas, I was a little too late. We didn't manage to win the last round, causing our defeat. I was once again, down in the dumps. "That was a good game. You did great," the ace of the other team said, shaking my hand.

I smiled a little. "Hey, it's normal to get nervous and stumble about. What's important is to never stay down," she said before walking away.

"Y/N," I heard Kageyama's voice from behind me. I tried holding back the tears. "Hey, look at me," he said turning me around. I tackled him in a hug, soaking his shirt before anyone saw my tears. He rubbed my back in comfort. "You did great alright? You got back up, that's what is important," he said as I let go.

"You're so strong, but you can get so emotional sometimes," Sugawara said giving me an encouraging smile. "Y/N!! THAT WAS SO INSPIRING, I WOULD'VE GIVEN UP IF I WERE YOU, YOU WERE AMAZING!!!" Nishinoya said excitedly jumping up and down. I smiled.

"Noya-Senpai, you're so positive. Thanks, everyone, for having my back," I said. They all grinned. "You'll always have us," Daichi said.

I'm glad I met them all. Not a day goes by when I'm not grateful for their presence.

Kageyama and Y/N walked out of the stadium only to be face-to-face with her brother, Miyagi L/N. "Miya!!" Y/N exclaimed hugging her brother. He smiled before turning to Kageyama, his smile instantly replaced with a frown. "Who's this?"

"Oh, stop acting, Miya. I know you know he's my boyfriend. I know you approve," Y/N said playfully punching her brother's arm. Kageyama started to sweat. "Haha, you're right, Y/N. Hey, can you get me a drink, here's the money," Miyagi requested. Once Y/N left, Miyagi turned to Kageyama.

"Hurt her, and I'll make sure you never serve or toss another volleyball ever again, got it?" Miyagi threatened, a dark aura surrounding him. Kageyama instantly nodded before Miyagi turned back to his friendly demeanour. Y/N came back completely oblivious to the fact that Kageyama looked pale. "Let's go!" she said as they started walking, Miyagi leading the way.

"I love you, Tobio," Y/N said giving a peck on his cheek. "I love you too, Y/N," he said kissing her. Miyagi was in the front and heard everything, making a puking motion at Y/N. She ignored her annoying brother making him smile. 'You seem to love him a lot, Y/N. He better not hurt you...'
