The Gate Lock Trip

I really didn't wanna go to school but I told myself before the summer ended that I wouldn't have a horrible attendance this year. I got in the shower and brushed my teeth and went down stairs. I saw my mom she said

"Good morning."

"GM mommy." I replied

"You can go." she said now looking at here iPhone 5c

"I just got down stairs ma." I say with a facial expression

"No not leave. I mean on the trip to that town umm, umm, SkyVeiw falls! That's it!" She yells putting her finger up in the air

"Ain't that like... 4 hours away?" I ask not knowing what trip she's talking about

"Yeah. I gotta call last night that asked to get permission because most kids lie to get out of school. plus I wasn't 100% sure because of the 2 day away from home but they won me over because it's free."

"We'll I guess I'll go."

"I gotta go to work. I'll see you Wednesday. be safe. love you. text me when you get there and here is $200 just in case." she says as I walk out the door not hungry anymore and happy.

Sitting down on a chair next to Derek in the auditorium listening to the teacher talk about what to do and what not to do. and I knew a lot of us would do what we weren't supposed to do.

"Now, you all know what to and what not to do let's get on the buses in an orderly fashion!" All the teachers say

"Before you leave just know our school staff will monitor your every movement!" Says the principle

Then all of the students get up and get on four big buses which go to the same places. Mar'Kisha and Kiki come on the bus that me and Derek go on and eKeil, Tracey and jamar come on the same bus as well along with Tamara and billy. me and Derek sit in the back so no one could hear our conversations then Mar'Kisha and Kiki sit next to us on the other side and jamar and Tracey try sit in front of the girls I guess to talk to them but Tamara and billy get there first so they sit in front of me.

One teacher per bus I thought to myself as I saw one teacher get on each bus. our bus got Mr. Alfred and drove off. I seen Derek take out his phone but I was trying not to lurk so I looked past him and saw Kiki and Mar'Kisha on their phones and so I take out my phone and start to text my mom

-"hey👋. Just leaving the school. just wanted to let you know. lots of love.😘"

She didn't respond but I didn't expect her to, she was at work. I decide to text Kiki

-"hey hi."

I leave her on "R". I text Mar'Kisha

-"hey bestie."

"Hey Beat friend🙋."

"I think jamar wanted to sit I front of you."

"I don't care💁, he should have never hit me. he's texting me right now."

"I Nosey. what does he want?"

"I so sorry and I wanna be with you, but he never should have said anything to me."
