Taehyung wandered through the enchanting gardens of the royal camping grounds, his steps slow and contemplative. The vibrant blooms and intricate sculptures created an atmosphere of serenity that he often sought when needing to clear his mind. As he strolled along the winding paths, he came upon a secluded corner of the garden, where a tranquil fountain played a soft melody.
Sitting by the fountain's edge, lost in thought, was a figure Taehyung knew well. Taehyung's face lit up with a bright smile as he approached, his nickname for older slipping out effortlessly.
"Hyung," Taehyung greeted with warmth. He knew that Jeongguk preferred the formal title due to their differences in age, and well, because no one had ever addressed him as anything besides with his royal title.
Jeongguk, who was absorbed in observing the water's gentle flow, turned his attention to Taehyung. "Taehyung," he acknowledged, his tone as composed as ever.
Taking a seat beside him, Taehyung couldn't contain his curiosity. "I've been wanting to ask you, hyung," he began, "how did you find the charity drive and the Royal Picnic? What are your thoughts on them?"
Jeongguk didn't hesitate to respond. "The charity drive and the Royal Picnic were efficient and well-organized," he said, his analytical mind at work. "The idea of combining entertainment with a charitable cause is a clever approach to uniting the kingdom."
Taehyung nodded, pleased with the assessment. "I'm glad to hear that. It's always been my dream to bring joy to our people. I love serving my Kingdom, so when the opportunity to serve beyond the borders of Elysian Avaloria presented itself, I couldn't help but take it."
Jeongguk's expression softened, albeit it was miniscule, but it did, as he continued, "I understand. As You saw, I came across quite an interesting young man. He spoke passionately about his aspirations and the impact he wanted to make in our kingdom. I believe he has great potential, and I would like to help him achieve his goals."
Taehyung's eyes sparkled with interest. "That's wonderful, hyung. We should definitely support him. What are his aspirations?"
Jeongguk's lips quirked in a small, rare smile. "He wishes to establish a program that offers education and opportunities to underprivileged youth. I found his dedication and vision impressive. Hopefully, he'll reach out when he needs help and I will be able to help him."
Taehyung's heart swelled with pride at the older's compassion. "And as always, your insight is invaluable. Let's find a way to support Yongwon's cause. I have no doubt that together, we can make a difference."
As they sat by the serene fountain, the conversation between the two princes was a testament to their unique bond.
While their personalities differed greatly, their shared commitment to bettering their kingdoms and helping those in need brought them together in harmony, just like the tranquil flow of the garden's fountain.
