"No," The king said, shaking his head. "As much as it is beneficial that my son, the prince, is marrying into Zenith Arcanum, we will not use the marriage as a relationship beam between Zenith and Avaloria. We have a treaty for that."

Minister Choi, the Foreign Affairs minister, furrowed his brows in confusion. "Your Majesty, wasn't the marriage designed to be a bridge between Zenith and Avaloria?"

"No, Choi," Demetrius deadpanned. "It was for the benefit of my son, not the Kingdom, there's treaties for that." He finished with finality.

Minister Choi looked at the Royal advisors, who looked like they already knew this new development, before turning to the King and nodded. He then proceeded to note it down.
