Amidst the hustle and bustle of the royal city, Jeongguk extended an invitation to his brother, Jimin, for a quiet lunch at their favorite café.
The siblings, finding solace in each other's company, sat in a corner, away from the prying eyes of the court.
As they enjoyed their meal, Jeongguk chose the moment to share a piece of his heart with Jimin. "Jimin, there's something I wanted to talk to you about," he began, his tone earnest.
Jimin, always perceptive, looked at his brother with a knowing smile. "Go on, Guk. I'm all ears."
Taking a moment to collect his thoughts, Jeongguk leaned in slightly, his voice low. "I've started courting Lilibet," he confessed, his eyes holding a mix of excitement and caution.
Jimin's eyes widened slightly before he broke into a supportive smile. "Really? Oh my God, That's amazing, Guk! Tell me everything."
Jeongguk recounted the events leading up to the courtship, the careful selection of the jewelry set, and the moment he presented it to Taehyung.
He even recounted as to what happened when he was asking for permission from Lilibet's brothers and how they most probably made a bet on them.
Jimin's reaction to these news was comical. It was as if he couldn't fathom the idea that the Next king of Elysian Avaloria, Prince Min Cyrus Yoongi was allegedly laughing and Joking around.
The bond between the brothers grew stronger as they shared this personal revelation, the café providing a haven for their genuine connection.
Understanding the complexities of royal life and the weight of expectations, Jimin nodded empathetically. "It sounds like you've found something special, Guk. Just be sure to cherish these moments before the crown and politics start knocking on the door of your relationship."
Jeongguk appreciated Jimin's insight and nodded in agreement. "Exactly, Jimin. That's why I wanted to share this with you first, before it becomes a matter of public scrutiny."
Jimin reached across the table, placing a reassuring hand on Jeongguk's. "Follow your heart, Guk. If Lilibet brings you joy and makes you happy, that's what matters most. We'll navigate the rest together."
"Well," Jimin began as he hid behind taking a sip of his mimosa.
"Since we're talking about budding relationships," He blushed. "I might be seeing someone." He quietly added as his eyes dartee around the room.
Meanwhile, Jeongguk's eyes widened for a millisecond before he went full on big brother mode. "Are you now?" He asked with a raised brow.
"No." Jimin deadpanned. He could see from a mile away what his brother was thinking.
"What did I do?" Jeongguk asked, confused.
"You're not going to scare him away." He asserted as he put his glass down on the table and pointed at the older.
Jeongguk rolled his eyes and leaned back on his chair. "I don't know what you're talking about."
"Of course you don't." His tone was heavy with Sarcasm.
As they finished their lunch, the two brothers, bound by a shared understanding and unwavering support, left the café with a renewed sense of camaraderie.
The journey of Jeongguk's courtship with Taehyung had just begun, and having Jimin's encouragement made the path ahead feel a little lighter.
Although the older tried to get the name of his brother's love interest, Jimin didn't relent. He kept the name and made sure to be as vague as possible when talking about his love interest.
