Rhaegar's Pov.
Sitting in the Gods woo while i lean back against the heart tree I release a deep breath, death is a part of life but seeing him just so sick, weak and so far away from the man he once was is a different story.
I do not know if I wish to remember him like that, many times when i think about my mother I see the woman she once was but yet flashes of seeing her there laying on that bed with her stomach cut open haunt me. I've giving it a place but for a long time whenever i thought about my mother that was what i saw. I don't wish to see my father in this state whenever he is gone.
"I'm surprised you and your family came back for this." A voice says as it pulls me out of my thoughts, looking up i see Princess Rhaenys making me slowly get up.
"Rhaenyra has been wondering hours upon hours why you would come here, but I figured it out you intend to advocate for yourself. " I simply say as i dust the grass and dirt from my trousers while she gives me shrug.
"And you probably here to offer me something, because you do not hold many allies Rhaegar." She counters making me give her a nod with a smirk playing on my lips. " Let Baela become lady of Tides, she will wed my son Daeron any children they get will carry the name Valreyon your line will continue to live on." I say as she looks as me now with a scoff.
"Many call your children bastards because you chose love over duty, tell me what will happen if your father passes and you hold no allies?" She says and i point towards the sky while some thunder in the distance is being heard.
"I ride Diaval second biggest dragon alive, my daughter rides the Cannibal who was never been ridden before his den was filled with the bones of those who had tried, my oldest son rides The bronze fury, Aemma rides Nightshade, Daeron rides Ryax , Saera rides Silverwing and Rhaenyra rides Syrax. And then there are my two youngest who's dragons are yet so small to fly but they will grow." I start as I look at her.
"Sure the greens have Vhagar, Dreamfyre and Sunfyre but you have to agree with me that when it does come to a war the odds aren't in their favor dragon wise. I hold the power to burn Westeros down with my children but we share the same blood and I would rather have you on my side than against me." I continue as I look at her while she raises her brow slightly.
"Is that a threat, my prince?"
"Many years ago before i left Westeros and flew east i made my father a promise that I would bring a army to the doorsteps of anyone who dares to sit on my throne, but now I also know that if somebody else will sit on it the lives of my children will always be in danger. You've lost a song and a daughter, and I'm truly sorry for that. You did not deserve to live trough that kind of pain, but please help me protect mine, and Ill do everything in my power to protect your line." I say as I take a step towards her.
"You can bargain with me all you like. But tomorrow, the HighTower's land their first blow. They force you to your knees... and I must stand alone." She says before turning away making me grab her wrist.
"You do not stand alone if you do not wish it, and for the Hightower's they will be forced down on their knee. But i could really use the help Princess." I softly say before letting go of her hand making her walk away from me.

Letting the sound of thunder and rain fill my ears as i walk over to Father's bed I release a deep breath before sitting down on the edge while I see him holding the dragon figure against his chest.
