In the late morning two days later, Mia stood at the large entrance mirror and adjusted her clothing while Danila and Kirill looked into her face through the glass.

"Cheer up, guys! This is not as fun as taunting me with a threesome?" Mia spoke sarcastically as she applied her dark red lipstick while smiling.

A smile on her face but she was dying of fear inside. She recognized this feeling and it felt very familiar now. Like it belonged to her. Fear and excitement mixed into one toxic cocktail, her poison, slowly killing her but not without providing an unforgettable high.

Oleg had invited her under the pretext that he would help her figure out what to do now that Danila was dead but they knew Alexei had set it up.

Oleg was under the impression that this was the moment he would pass her off to Alexei and receive the money once the buyer laid his eyes on her.

Once Mia was safe, they would pick a time to get rid of him quietly, either making it look like an accident in Russia but preferable somewhere overseas. There was also a plan B, in case he decided to come along with Mia and Alexei.

They thought it through, it seemed like an open and shut case, the only dangerous variable was Alexei. They didn't fully trust him, but they had no choice but to use him at this moment and Danila had placed a few of his men to follow Alexei's sister.

If they suspected Alexei was having second thoughts, they would pressure him and remind him of the consequences until he got the job done.

There was always a chance it would all blow up in their face and everyone would die. But that was not something they could focus on, they had come too far.

Mia arrived at Oleg's looking like sad eye candy. High heels, short skirt, fur coat, her usual look since she had become Danila's girl in Moscow.

"Sit down, Mia." Oleg said calmly. For some reason, he felt nervous. Everything was going according to plan, why was he so on edge about this transaction?

As Mia sat there with red puffy eyes from tears, he took in her appearance and admitted to himself that he felt guilty. He felt guilty for doing this to her. She was an innocent soul, just like his daughter was.

He thought he was no better than Kirill, what had he gotten himself into? For almost fifteen years, he had been planning and waiting and scheming and now that he was finally in this whole ordeal, suddenly he felt guilty?

Alexei walked in at this moment and didn't take a glance at Mia as she sat up nervously at the new unknown visitor. He handed Oleg a file and they spoke quietly and both nodded.

Then Alexei came up to her and said flatly,

"Let's go."

Mia sat on the couch looking from him to Oleg with confusion and fear on her face as Oleg watched on. This was it, he would take her and her fate would be unknown to Oleg now, she would be a slave, trapped, forever gone.

Oleg was beginning to have second thoughts as his stomach was churning. Why was he doing this to her! She had only been around for three months and he didn't care for her but he saw, he knew that she was innocent!

Again he compared himself to Kirill and it now dawned on him that he was worse. Worse than Kirill! Kirill didn't touch his daughter, he knew that, even risking his own life, Kirill didn't touch her. It was his fault she died but he didn't actually do anything to her. But Oleg, Oleg was selling a person.

"Wait!" Oleg suddenly said and Alexei turned around expectantly.

"I will come with you. We will all go." He said kindly.

"Go where, where are we going?!" Mia spoke nervously and with definite fear in her voice.

"I will explain on the way. Come." Oleg said helping her up but Alexei interjected.

"Um...no. That's not how it works." He sounded strict and affirmative.

"I decide how it works. Let's all go." Oleg responded with metal in his voice and Alexei remembered the plan; get Mia out. Oleg was just a hiccup, and Kirill and Danila would deal with it without him.

He didn't argue anymore and they led a confused and worried Mia into Alexei's car where Oleg took the front seat and Mia pleaded in the back for them to explain what was going on.

The plan was that if Oleg decided to come along, Alexei was to bring them all to Sanduny Baths, a public bath house and spa where it was easy to hide and remove Mia from his sight.

Alexei noticed Oleg's security travelling behind them and it was the longest two hours of his life. As Mia cried and pleaded in the back seat, he fielded Oleg's questions.

He was incredibly nervous but played it off as angry instead. He was scared. Scared of everyone. Scared of Oleg, scared of Danila and Kirill, scared for his sister.

He just wanted for this to be over and to never see any of them again. He would move to Samara close to Masha and get a regular job, just like her, and forget that he ever did any of this.

They arrived at Sanduny and an atmosphere of peace and quiet enveloped them. Hushed voices and silence reigned but Alexei had one job that he was strictly focused on.

"Where are you meeting them?" Oleg inquired as he took in the atmosphere.

"Here but Oleg, you can't come." Alexei spoke seriously and confidently. "I'm sorry. This is where we part. There is a process, and I can't let you see the buyer or vice versa. They have someone coming to inspect her in the women's room and then the money gets transferred to my account and tonight, you will have it." He finished his monologue and looked at Oleg as if daring him to argue.

Oleg didn't want to argue. He wasn't sure why he came all this way, just to see how it all went down, he guessed. This actually didn't seem so bad, he thought, everything was civil. She would go in to the women's change room and that's it. No crazy and bad scenes to have nightmares about later.

"Okay." He said as if agreeing. "Okay, I understand." He looked at Mia who was clearly beginning to understand what was about to happen to her but he only lingered on her face for a second.

Alexei disappeared with a silently crying Mia and Oleg stood there with his security, thinking that this was easy. This didn't seem so bad. Since he was here, he would stay for a bit, go have a steam, clear his head and wash this day off.

He couldn't find the lady at the front desk so he left the money on the counter and made his way to the men's change room and let his security go.
