Chapter 7

A few days had passed since the chaotic showdown at Lauren's house. Lauren had been arrested, before they got her out of the car she tried to scratch out Sarah's eyes and accidentally bit hans foot. The spy "team" was finally able to put that chapter behind them. With their next mission on the horizon, they had to regroup and prepare for whatever challenges awaited them in Rome.

The team gathered at their secret headquarters, a hidden room beneath the local library, to discuss their next mission away from prying eyes and ears.

Mody wasted no time in briefing them on their upcoming assignment. "Alright, everyone. Our next mission takes us to Rome. We have reason to believe that a powerful secret organization is operating there, and we need to investigate."

Jelly, still pissed from the previous mission, couldn't help but interject. "Do we really need to work with him?" she nodded towards Enzo, who was leaning against the wall, arms crossed.

Mody gave Jelly a stern look. "If you have a problem with the team then you can talk to me personally. Don't interrupt me again."

"Actually I do-" she gets cut off by Sarah putting her hand over her mouth to shut her up

Mody continued, "Now, in Rome, we'll be working undercover, posing as part of the government. Our main goal is to gather intelligence on the president. We suspect they are working with the nerves."

Sebas, always eager to take on a new challenge, raised his hand. "What's our cover story? Are we going as a school group or something?"

Mody nodded. "No, you dumbass. We're gonna act as members of the AISE."

Now fully recovered from the dancing pill incident, Hazel asks, "What is that? A sandwich?"

"It stands for Agenzia Informazioni e Sicurezza Esterna sir" Sarah yells while standing in a military pose

Han couldn't help but laugh. "Girl were spies, not the military"

Sarah turns red in embarrassment and stands normally.

Mody smiled. "Now if you find any leads or uncover crucial information, contact me immediately. We'll have a local operative in Rome who can assist you if necessary. But remember, do what you are told and never cause a scene"

Sarah skips happily around the room. "Aren't you guys excited? We get to act like real government agents"

"We are real government agents" Hazel responds

"But this is just different" Sarah smiles

"It's really not"

"Mody sent me more information" Enzo walks into the room and everyone's attention goes straight to him. "I just got all our cover roles"

"But we don't work in the white house" Sarah responds to Hazel and completely ignores Enzo

Han decided to chime in "The AISE is basically the FBI"

"Which would make us government agents" Hazel finishes Hans sentence

Samuel who has been listening to the conversation decided to add. "Actually we are part of the CIA, not the FBI. It's not the same thing"

Sebas gets up from the chair he was still on and walks to the arguing group "Even if we are CIA we are still government agents"

"Yeah, that's true. I would agree with Hazel"

"Yeah I wo-"

"Everyone shut up" Enzo yells. "You guys need to focus we can't mess this up"
