-'CHAPTER 8´-

When Elaine's eyes opened, she was aware of the loud engine roaring alongside the wind blowing as if she were on a very fast train.

The blonde sits up in the backseat of a car, her head throbbing. Stefan sat in the driver seat with an angry bitter look on his face, and Elena sat next to him, looking just as confused as the blonde felt.

"Stefan, what are you doing?" Elena asks.

Elaine sits up confused as to why she was there, and her heart starts to race at how fast Stefan was going.

Suddenly, Elena's phone starts ringing, and when she pulls it out, Stefan snatches it.

"Hello Damon," the vampire says, answering the phone.

The wind was howling in her ears as the throbbing of her head grew.

"Are you okay?" Elena asks, turning to the blonde.

"Yeah, what about you?" Elaine asks.

Elena just nods reassuringly. The blonde was mad at her friend but didn't wish anything bad. She certainly knew Elena had nothing to do with this either.

"I'm a little busy right now." Stefan continues on the phone. "I'm making some moves. Let me ask you what Klaus will do if he can't make more hybrids and if his little blonde pet isn't alive."

"What?" Elena says, breath barely above a whisper. The blonde and brunette share a fearful look.

Stefan hangs up the phone, increasing the speed.

"Stefan, what are you doing? '' Elena demands 'let us out of the car,' the woman raises her voice "Do you hear me let us out?"

"Please, Stefan," Elaine adds.

The man doesn't even look at the girls, and Elena sighs in defeat, sitting back.

"So what's the plan, Stefan? What's the big move you're making?" Elena asks.

Elaine sat in the back, staring at the trees that passed them trying to focus on anything but the throbbing pain in her head.

"I took Klaus's family to make him suffer. I'm gonna make him suffer more," the vampire states, turning to Elena for a second.

There was something cold in Stefan, and a tinge of bitter anger resided behind those brown eyes. Elaine knew this wasn't the Stefan she met months ago. No, this was someone else. Someone who wouldn't mind killing the blonde.

"What are you gonna do, huh?" Elena asks angrily, "lock us up in some cage, keep us hostage."

Stefan looks to Elena. "I might just turn you both into vampires," He says grimly with no remorse.

"Stop the car, Stefan." Elena forced her voice to sound strong, but Elaine could hear the underlying fear in the brunette. 'Stop the car, Stefan, " she says louder.

Stefan ignores her, turning to his phone as he starts typing away. Suddenly, the vampire puts the phone to his ear.

"Tell your hybrids to get out of town, Klaus," he demands, putting the phone on speaker.

"Well, that's not going to happen until I get my coffins back." The familiar voice calmed Elaine down a bit, and she couldn't help but wish to be next to the man right now.

To see his soft smile and to hear his laugh that always made Elaine feel light inside. With his desperate eyes that made the blonde's heart race, to the warmth she always felt when close to him.

"Okay, well then, I'm gonna drive your blood bag and Elaine off of the wickery bridge," the vampire demands.

"I don't believe you, Stefan, you won't kill them," Klaus responds.

Elaine watches in horror as Stefan bites his wrist, feeding it to Elena. " The brunettes cry muffles. "That's Elena," Stefan taunts.

He takes his wrist out of her mouth before tugging Elaine to him. The blonde struggles, but the vampire is too strong. "Get off me," Elaine pleads, punching him in the face. The vampire seemed unaffected and just forced his blood in her mouth. "Stefan, stop," Elena yells. The car speeds up, and Elaine feels dizzy as if she were going to throw up.

"What are you doing?" Elena cries, voice shaking.

"What's happening?" Klaus asks, his tone changing to an underline of fear.

"I just fed both of them my blood, no more hybrid if she's a vampire, and Elaine's gonna be a vampire too, didn't you ask me to protect her?" Stefan asks in a taunting voice.

"You won't do it," the original grits from the phone sounding as if he were trying to convince himself more than stating a fact.

"Really," the vampire responds, "try me because your coffins are next to go."

The speed increase caused Elaine to jump forward in her seat.

"Say goodbye to your family Klaus".

Elaine and Elena both scream when the car speeds up yet again, the engine roaring and the tires screeching as the car shakes back and forth.

"Stefan, slow down," Elena pleads.

"Please stop," Elaine cries out a tear, falling from her eye. She finally found friends, she finally wanted to live, and now that would be taken from her. She would never laugh with Caroline or hang out with Bonnie. She didn't get to make up with Elena or continue to be friends with Rebekah. "Please," Elaine begs again.

"Fine, I'll send them away," Klaus says quickly, his voice shaking. "You win, just stop."

Stefan only goes quicker. Elena was full on sobbing now. "Stop, stop the car, Stefan," the teenager yells.

"Please stop the car," Elaine yells, her heart pacing in her chest.

"Stop the car, Stefan." Klaus grits angrily.

The vampire comes to a sudden stop the two girls screaming as they both jerk forward. Elaine jerks fast, hitting her head on the back of Stefans seat. The tires screech, and for a second, everything stops.

The only sound was Elaine's heart beating in her chest and her ears ringing, drowning out Elena's sob and her heavy breathing.

The blonde's head hurt even worse as black dots evaded her vision, her head fuzzy as she was confused as to where she was at.

The blonde steps out the car as Elena does, almost falling to the ground that seemed to be moving as she held herself up by the car door. Elena speed walks away as Stefan follows.

"Stay away from me." Elaine could barely make out the voice. The ringing in her ears started becoming louder, and the blonde took a step, feeling as if she were going to throw up.

Elaine was aware of Elena and Stefans' voices chatting away, but the blonde couldn't really make anything out. Suddenly, Stefan goes back in the car, driving away, leaving both girls stranded.

"Elena," the blonde mumbles, stumbling from where she stood. Elena looked kinda blurry, and she desperately needed to hold onto something to stand.

"I'm going to walk home, I just need a moment alone," Elena says, walking away.

Elaine tried to call her friend for help but couldn't hear her own voice over the ringing. Blood dripped from her nose as she rummaged into her pocket for her phone.

She called the first contact that popped up, which was Caroline, but she didn't answer. Elaine called Bonnie, then Matt, Rebekah, but no one answered, and she so desperately wished she had Klaus's number.

The blonde stumbled a bit to make her way back home before she fell unconscious.
