-'CHAPTER 11´-

Elaine woke to her doorbell ringing. She had gone home last night after laying with Caroline for a bit. The vampire had told her she wanted to be alone for a while, and the blonde understood heading home.

Elaine rubbed her groggy eyes as she sat up. She brushed her teeth and took her hair out of her ponytail, combing it quickly before going to the door.

The bright sun greeted her, and she yawned as she picked up the box on her porch.

She brought it to her kitchen table, picking up the letter first. It was in an envelope, and her name was written on the front in pretty cursive letters.

‘You are invited to the Mikaelson's Ball’ the letter read. She turned it over.

'Dear Elaine, I hope to see you there. Please save me a dance

With love, Niklaus'

Elaine smiled at the small message before carefully setting the letter down. She moved to her table, opening the box.

It was a beautiful pink dress draped with beautiful flowers and glitter. It was stunning, something Elaine would see shopping and just melt. The blonde smiled as she started her coffee thinking of what jewelry she would wear.

Finn stood, getting his shoes polished while Rebekah waited for her nails to dry.

"Rebekah tells me how handsome I look," Kol says arrogantly, fixing his bow tie.

"Oh Kol, you know I can't be compelled," Rebekah replies as Finn smiles in amusement.

Klaus suddenly walks in his usually angry attitude, rolling off him.

"You went after Elena," he snarks at Rebekah. "What the hell is wrong with you?"

"Here we go," Rebekah smiles.

"Want another dagger in your heart," Klaus threatens.

"Again with the dagger threats," Kol adds.

"You won't," Rebekah challenges.

Klaus glares at her, "What makes you so sure?" the hybrid grits.

"Well, let's see how Elaine will take the news of you daggering her friend." Rebekah tilts her head.

"Elaine" Kol questions.

Klaus turns to Finn. "That's another conversation we're going to have," he grits.

Finn wears a shocked expression.

"What conversation am I missing?" Kol questions.

"What do you mean, Elaine?" Finn asks gently.

"Elaine, my love, who you murdered?" Klaus points his finger to Finn, "that Elaine who's now living in mystic falls and remembers nothing of any of us what is up with that".

Finn's eyes go wide.

"Elaine's alive," Kol asks softly. "She's alive, and no one thought to tell me," he grits.

"Are you going to explain something to Finn because I know it has something to do with you?" Klaus accuses.

"I've had the same thought, brother." Elijah chimes in. All eyes go to the surprise ridden Finn.

"I saved her life is what I did," He answers, turning back to the mirror.

"All this time you didn't think to tell us she was alive," Rebekah asks.
