19.

-'CHAPTER 19´-

Elaine wakes burning ropes tied to her arms and body, strapping her to a truck. She turns her head to see Caroline and Rebekah to the right side of her.

"Care," she mutters. "What are you doing here, Elaine?" the blonde questions.

"I can ask you the same thing," the new vampire responds.

"No, you can't, I'm a vampire and got caught. I know why I'm here, I have no clue why you're here, " Caroline responds worriedly.

"She turned," Rebekah says, finally waking.

"What?" Caroline's voice was barely above a whisper, fear lacing her tone.

"We have to get out of here," Elaine whispers.

Caroline nods. "It's vervain ropes." Suddenly, the car flips glass shattering everywhere as the three girls flip upside down with the truck.

Elaine flips on her back, and the three blonde's groan in pain at the impact. The back door to the truck rips open, revealing Tyler.

"Tyler," the three girls say in sync confusion, lacing their voices.

The hybrid immediately steps toward Elaine, undoing her ropes. The blonde was utterly confused as she had never been close with Tyler, especially ever since she sided with Nik. Plus, the hybrid had broken up with Caroline ages ago. The two were certainly not on good terms.

The hybrid lifts her up, gripping her gently. "Caroline and Bekah," the blonde demands worriedly.

"No time," the man says.

"I can't leave them." Before the blonde could further disagree, the hybrid pulled her away.

"Go," Caroline calls. "We'll be fine," Rebekah finishes. 

Tyler leads Elaine to the forest. "I'm confused. You're supposed to be dead, and why did you come for us? What about Caroline and Bekah? " the blonde starts.

"They'll be fine, love, but we got to go," the hybrid says, gently gripping her waist as he keeps her closer.

"What, wait, did you just?" the blonde pauses in her steps, realizing striking her hard.

"I am Niklaus Mikaelson, I can't be killed that easily," the man smirks.

Elaine's eyes turn glassy as she immediately takes a step forward, hugging the man. Tyler or Nik stumbles back a bit smiling softly as he wraps an arm around her. "Miss me," he asks.

Elaine laughs simply, happy the hybrid was alive. "Very much so," she mumbles, her voice shaky.

The two finally separate the hybrid stroking her face, his eyes turning sad. "You're a vampire," He mumbles softly.

"Yeah," she confirms, anger radiates from the man alongside pure guilt.

"It's fine, though. Rebekah's teaching me how to feed, and she got a daylight ring," the vampire explains.

"How" Nik mumbles softly.

"One of your hybrids, they unsired. I guess they got mad," she shrugs quietly, not having to finish her sentence for the hybrid to understand.

Nik simply pulls her back into a hug, making the blonde's eyes tear. "I'm so sorry, love, I'm so so sorry. I promise I'll do better, I'll promise I'll be there," he says shakily.

Elaine hugs back. "I'm just glad you're here," she whispers.

Nik works on getting back into his body, and the second he accomplishes his goal, he goes to save Rebekah and Caroline. Elaine stayed back per Niks' demand as he believed it would be safer for her.
