•The Secret Bond•

After Leroy and Naomi kissed, they walked to the school parking lot, engaging in their cherished routine of chatting about their day.

Leroy's warm brown eyes were fixed on Naomi as he asked, "So, how was your day love?"

Naomi began to blush and replied, "It was alright, you know, the usual classes and work. How about yours?"

Leroy grinned and said, "It's been chill. But here's the real question...what do you want to eat today?"

Naomi thought for a moment, genuinely unsure. "Hmm, I don't really know. What about you?"

Leroy suggested, "Well, it is Taco Tuesday, and we both love Mexican food. How about we go to a restaurant?"

Agreeing, Naomi nodded and said, "Okay, I'm down with that!"

As they reached Leroy's car, he held the car door open for Naomi, a small yet sweet gesture that always made her feel special. She climbed in, and he closed it gently before taking his seat.

While Leroy drove, they sang along to their favorite songs on the radio, vibing together. His hand rested on her hand, and she couldn't stop smiling throughout the entire ride. They finally arrived at Los Tortillas restaurant and decided to order their food to go, then settled into a cozy corner of the restaurant while waiting for their plates.

Leroy leaned in closer and asked, "So, are we still going to the fair tonight?"

Naomi nodded and grabbed his hands while saying, "Of course, baby. You know I can't wait to go! We're going to be bobbing for apples, eating funnel cakes, and I wanna ride the Ferris wheel!"

Leroy's eyes sparked with excitement as he replied, "Me too! I found us some matching outfits at the mall yesterday, and I think you're going to like them."

"Matching outfits!?" Naomi asked, intrigued. "Where are they?"

"In the trunk of my car!" Leroy replied. "I was going to give them to you when we got back, but you look like you really wanna see them now!"

"You know I do!" Naomi exclaimed. "But first, I wanna eat because I am starving."

Leroy noticed the faded polish on Naomi's nails and playfully remarked, "Looks like somebody needs to get their nails redone because the paint says it all."

Naomi laughed and replied, "Boy, please! Not too much. You know I wish I could get Halloween-themed nails, but I don't think I can."

Leroy insisted, "Yes, you can, baby! You know I can always pay for them."

Naomi shook her head but smiled, "Thanks for the thought baby but you know I can't ask you to do that."

Leroy corrected Naomi and replied, "Whoever said I needed your permission to pay for your nails? I was telling you that I am going to pay for your nails."

Naomi was in shock and laughed, "Well, in that case, maybe a touch of Halloween spirit on my nails wouldn't hurt."

"Do you think your dad will notice?" Leroy asked.
