"Innie, I'm home," Jisung said in a melodious tone.

"Hyung!" He leaped towards Jisung and pulled him in a heartwarming hug.

It was Jeongin, Jisung's younger brother who was in middle school. The sole cause of Jisung's contentment as well as confoundment. He could remain starving, but he couldn't bear seeing Jeongin unfed. The entire day passed, and Jeongin told Jisung stories about his friends and school.

"Hyung, do you know Felix's brother came back to Daegu?"

"Where did he use to live?"

"Seoul."

"Why did he come to Daegu from Seoul?"

"I don't know."

All of a sudden, Jeongin digressed.

"Hyung, tell me about your crush."

"I don't have one."

"Come on, don't be a killjoy. Everyone has crushes, especially when you're in High School."

Jisung thought for a while. There were several attractive girls in his class and he couldn't deny it.

One of them had a gifted voice and the other girl was ingenious, and the other was divine in appearance.

But he found someone a teeny tiny bit attractive. Nevertheless, it necessarily didn't mean he had a crush on that person.

"Alright, I'll check out every girl in class tomorrow." Jisung smiled.

"Man, you gotta be kidding me. You seriously don't like anyone?"

"You know, my brothers are my besties which includes you too. I tell you about everything that happens daily. You guys know about all of my secrets."

"Okay." Jeongin chuckled.

"Time for dinner!" Jisung gave Jeongin the food he snuck from school.

"Where did you get it from?" Jeongin exclaimed.

"I bought it."

"Do you have money?"

"I can always manage it for you." Jisung grinned widely and Jeongin started inhaling his food like he always does.

"I'll be back in a moment," Jisung said as he staggered to the restroom.

As soon as he got in, he wanted to burst out crying, but he didn't want Jeongin to hear him. He covered his mouth with his hands, trying to repress the sound of his cries.

He had promised Jeongin to be forever truthful to him, but he had no choice but to lie.

Jisung worked part-time in a cafeteria. He only had the money to buy the same bland vegetables. Or worse, an unappetizing cup of noodles. Even the lunch in his school was more succulent than those.
