Changbin was resting beside his little sister's cradle. He couldn't help smiling at her.

The three-year-old looked like the greatest gift God could bestow. She was a scared responsibility of love and nurture.

He was six years old, himself. But he wanted to protect the little angel who looked divine in her tiny white dress.

He could hear the muffled screams of his parents from the next door. It was nothing special. They had been fighting for the past few weeks.

All of a sudden, the shouting stopped.

"I think they stopped fighting, Yerim!" Changbin peered into his parent's room with a pep in his step.

The little boy didn't expect to see the scene before him. His mother was being throttled by his father.

Within a few seconds, she stopped breathing. Changbin was too young to understand what had happened. He came back to his room. Fortunately, his father hadn't seen him.

"Yerim, when do you think they will stop fighting?" he said to his sister who couldn't talk yet.

"Changbin, put Yerim to sleep. Mom's feeling tired so she fell asleep quickly." His father came to his room.

He did what he was asked, not knowing what followed the next day.

He woke up to a ruckus of Police and nurses around the house. He walked to his favorite nanny with tiptoes.

"What happened nanny?"

"Oh- Binnie." She burst out crying. "Your mom, she's- she's no more....."

"What does that mean?" he asked, rubbing his eyes.

She hugged him tightly. "She disappeared, but she's always there, watching."

"Where is she?"

"We don't know. We can't see her. But she is always looking after you."

"I have to talk with Changbin, alone." The maid left hearing it, leaving the father and son alone in the room.

"Changbin, after you slept, I got a call that someone broke into my office. So, I rushed there, but I found out the alarm malfunctioned. No one actually came. But instead of coming home, I fell asleep there. When I came back in the morning, mommy was no more."

That's what the man told everyone, unaware there was a witness to the crime he had committed.

Not many days later, Changbin heard his father yell at someone on the phone.

"OH DAMNIT. Mr. Doh I know you very well. We are friends, right? Oh, you need more? Sure, I'll give you the amount you want, but conceal the truth. Only you and I should know about it."
